So, my daughter thinks she lost her favorite D.S. games in the back of the car. It either went behind the seat, or down that little hole where the seatbelts come out of.

Is there a way I can get it back short of shoving my hands down blindly in there?

If you are trying to be delicate and use euphemisms, I suggest a trip to the doctor right away. With an endoscope they won't be shoving hands blindly into any little holes.

I had a Saturn where I had to remove the back seat. It was pretty easy, but I had a full repair manual to show me where to grab. I think I had to reach between the seat and back and pull at two places. After that the seat rocked forward. The foam part of the seat sat on a metal shelf which the seat belts were bolted to, so everything went to the same location. If you don't have access to a manual, it is probably worth a call to a dealer to see what the bill would be to remove it and replace it. I guess it might only be 1/4 hour of work for the whole job, so about $20-$25. Just the coins trapped under the seat might pay for it.

Is your car on? Do you have an owner’s manual? See what the process is to remove a seat (and collect spare change, thr occasional mummified fry, and stale cheerios).
