Reducing the amount of greenhouse gas emitted in our country is the only way we will begin to curb the negative consequences of climate change.Crock of $hit. Say it enough and it becomes reality I guess.

Bill, talk about condescending arrogant politicians!
Perhaps "Queen Jeanne" forgot how much she screwed over not just the residents of Seabrook but many towns throughout NH with the "donor town" concept. This woman never saw a spending bill or tax she didn't like. And she thinks her policies were going to ENCOURAGE responsible energy production, job creation, etc? Not on your life.
I also took special note of her claims that global warming is somehow an indisputable "fact". Dear Jeanne--you do realize that yesterday's high was a whopping 59 degrees, right? That we had FROST less than a month ago? That last year we nearly broke the all-time record for snowfall, and in some areas, almost certainly DID break it?
Hate to say it, Bill, but we're so screwed. What were the people of this state thinking when they put her in the Senate? That maybe as long as she was out of New Hampshire she wouldn't screw us over as badly--kind of like why Arkansas foisted the Clintons on us?
Dear Jeanne, as long as you're at it, why not open up some floodgates on the Wilder Dam so you can go paddling down the Connecticut River with your buddy Al Gore? That was really responsible actions during a drought, now wasn't it?

Here’s what I got back from my congress critter after I sent a note asking if she got as much for her vote as her fellow congresswoman from Ohio ( Marcy Kaptur, Dem, Toledo, 3.5 billion in the 300 page addon that nobody read ).
I asked where the 67,000 jobs number came from, but no reply so far.
Dear Michael,
Thank you for contacting me regarding “the American Clean Energy and Security Act.” I appreciate hearing from you, and I welcome this opportunity to address your concerns.
“The American Clean Energy Act” passed the House of Representatives on June 26, 2009. I voted in favor of the bill because it will create 67,000 urgently needed jobs in Ohio and boost private investments in the state by $5.6 billion. The clean energy economy is the future of our country and of central Ohio. Central Ohio is positioned to make the solar panels, wind turbines and bio mass products that will power our nation in the very near future. Components of this bill will make dramatic investments in a regional energy effort for the Midwest that is long overdue and create a fund to lift Ohio manufacturers in difficult times.
Another important aspect of this bill will address the threat of global warming by limiting carbon emissions. A limit on carbon emissions is critical to sustaining the future protection of public health and the environment. Without controlling our carbon emissions, our planet will face disastrous consequences. I am committed to developing a successful energy program that rewards innovation, efficiency and early action.
Thank you again for contacting me. I hope you will continue to keep in touch and let me know whenever I may be of assistance.
Sincerely,
Mary Jo Kilroy
Member of Congress

In New Hampshire climate change is already altering the beautiful landscape of our state from our coastline to our Northern forests. She doesn't get out much does she?

Senators are governed by political considerations, not public wants or needs. Cap and trade is a device for increasing Democratic influence, which is why the Dem leadership wants it.

Has this dolt been in NH the last couple of winters?
