BATH – Twilight is coming on at Willie Minot's farm and the cows in the pasture graze contentedly as another day fades.
But one cow nibbles on wet grass apart from the rest of the herd, different from all the others, with their spots, round bodies and, well, attitude.
She's taller. She's in that gangly, awkward adolescent phase, wanting to be a part of the crowd, but not quite fitting in.
Largely, because she is a cow of a different species.
She's a moose.
"We looked out about three weeks ago and said, 'Hey, there's a moose," said Minot, who runs a dairy farm in West Bath and is also the little town's fire chief. "I said, 'Oh no.' We've had moose before and they just bust through fences -- our experience with moose has been less than cordial."
There is something, however, quite endearing about this particular moose Minot has christened Mildred.

Thank you for the Mildred You Tube! I clicked on the longer version and when it was over a couple of small windows opened up and I was curious about one and clicked on it. Wow!!! P.S. So much is happening in our world in a shorter period of time and the media is so rediculous a few months ago I began calling our newspaper delivered to the house Texas road kill. I would never insult you to refer to you as a present day newspaper.
