WARREN, Ohio—It’s not something police see every day.

A detective in Warren was interviewing a woman when a squirrel popped out of her shirt.

It’s not unusual to find squirrels doing what they like to do best in Perkins Park in the summer.

During his years as a detective in Warren, Wayne Mackey has run into quite a few squirrely situations, but none of that prepared him for what happened a few weeks ago when he was interviewing this witness on a recent murder case.

“No, I was not prepared to see a woodland creature in the interview room,” Mackey said.

That’s exactly what happened, though.

The woman was in the Warren city police interview room answering questions for several minutes.

During one point in the conversation, she bends over, and oops, out comes what Mackey said was a baby squirrel.

It was enough to make a squirrel blush, but the woman did not seem to be phased. She put the small creature back inside her shirt and continued talking to the detective.

Can you imagine the surprise on the detective’s face when a small furry head revealed itself from between her breasts?

A baby squirrel fell out of the tree a few years ago and that is exactly where he went on my wife. Later when he got bigger, it upset him when he could no longer fit in.

That reminds me of weaning my youngest from nursing! LOL.

When I was little bitty, I kept a dead mouse in my pocket for nearly a whole day. Mom was pretty upset, when she saw me showing it to a friend. ;-)

"It was really funny watching him squeak trying to get in her shirt after he grew up. He would run out of his cage straight up her leg."

Do you realize how strange this sounds? I hope not. My problem is being jaded. I hope you understand.
