I guess gun rental = “suicide booth”.
hey we are good down here....lol....
how about the rash of home invasion shootins also this past week or so....
crime is definatly up in florida areas these past few monthes...
We have really got to close the “Shooting Range Loophole.”
Yo Lautenberg, please pick up the white phone.....
Well, I guess if you’re going to off yourself it makes sense to just rent the gun instead of paying full price to buy one.
Man, that guy really, really missed the target.
Hope he wore ear protection.
At least he took range safety seriously.
He fired practice rounds to make sure he did not miss his target when it counted.
He waited until there were no other shooters down range before firing at his target.
Barney Fife Ping!!!
This is sad, but it does happen now and then.
At a public range in Torrance Ca a while back there was a guy who rented a .357 and bought 50 rounds. He put 49 downrange, then...
I was next to him and had just packed up and left when he used #50.
I don’t see a way to stop this, any more than a guy renting an Avis car and heading for a bridge abutment can be stopped.
To the idiots that want to kill themselves. Do it at home and not at the ranges.
Fourth shooting, 5 victims - that I know of.
Orlando had three shootings, one being the mom shooting her son then killing herself, so four victims? total.
Now this one in Delray Beach is fourth shooting, 5th person dead.
Lets hope the gun was undamaged.
A lot of ranges are starting rules against single shooters who rent pistols.
Of course, you may bring your psycho mom with you, like that one guy.
I hate to admit it- but it’s time to outlaw rentals.
Suicide by Target Practice...
Happened here in Illinois a few months ago. Most ranges around here won’t let a guy rent a gun unless he’s got somebody with him. Don’t know how effective that is but it might prevent some nuts from doing it.
Suicide by faking a firearm accident so the life insurance will payout?
This is why it is best to belong to a private sportsmens club. These things always happen at public ranges.
I see no reason to restrict any firearm rentals because of the occasional suicide. It happens now and again but compared to how many rentals occur per day/week/month, etc. it’s an exceedingly rare occurance. There is no reason to restrict the activities of everyone because some mentally disturbed person is going to grease himself. If he doesn’t do it with a rental gun he’ll jump out a window, or run his car into a tree, take sleeping pills, etc.
Several years ago I went to a range in Manchester, NH in the morning and later that day a guy shot himself. It was kind of weird but I’m glad I didn’t decide to go in the afternoon.
