MSNBC's Contessa Brewer invited documentarian John Ziegler on her program Wednesday, and got into quite a battle with him over why Sarah Palin should have been at all insulted by David Letterman saying she dresses like a "slutty flight attendant" and her daughter was recently "knocked-up by Alex Rodriguez" during a Yankee game.
Brewer actually didn't think there was anything wrong with Letterman making such comments.
Even better, as the scrum continued, and Ziegler claimed Palin had more class than most people on MSNBC, Brewer got insulted, and called to her producer, "Cut the mike, please" (video embedded below the fold with partial transcript, h/t NBers blonde and bigtimer):

She never even addresses Letterman’s remarks about Palin’s 14 year-old daughter, and tries to gloss over the issue by saying that Palin should just deal with it.
Never mind that the crude remarks should never have been made.

First she bitches about how Sarah should “Get over it” about what Letterman said, but when Ziegler brought up Contessa being called “Slutty” she got insulted and told them to turn off his mic..that was hysterical..no wonder MSNBC is in the toilet..the only idiots watching that network are die hard libs who would jump off a cliff if their Messiah Obama told them to

If you caught the part where she snarkily asks if John asked Palin tough questions or was just being a spokesman for her, I would have just died if he responded, “no more than your network is acting as a spokesman for Obama”.

could it be that she wasn’t insulted because it was true? I can’t figure out how a woman wouldn’t be offended by that unless they knew it was true and are proud of that label. These people are unbelievable.

Wow, she claimed to have been insulted by being called slutty before and harbors no animosity toward the alleged insulter, yet she is “highly offended” when Zieglar denounced her network. No objective journalist there. I judge her to be a cupid stunt.

Contessa (I have trouble saying that name without laughing) thinks that carrying the water for the bitter liberals will give her job security and recognition.
I deleted CBS from the list of stations my TV receives and notified CBS. Not only will I no longer watch Letterman, but I will no longer watch anything on CBS. This pair of seuxal “jokes” about a 14 y/o girl was way too far over the line, and Letterman and CBS have made it clear that their response will not satisfy basic human decency. [Posting on multiple threads in the hopes of reaching as many Freepers as possible and encouraging them to delete CBS too.]
