Assuming there are 365.25 days/year, then there are 31557600 seconds/year. If we were able to travel at a mile a second or 3600 m/hr, it would take just over 28,479,833,027 years (that’s over 28 billion years) to get to the middle of the Virgo Cluster.

Now suppose we went a million miles/second or 3,600,000,000 m/hr, it would only take 28,480 years to get there. In the grand scheme of things, we sure ain’t much.
