The realtor is getting calls from all over the world. I’ll bet that some savvy investor will buy it and rent it out for a one or two week minimum. You’d clean up with just the Japanese who would want to come for a stay. They love that movie!

Thanks for the link!
For the record, the garage is further down the property from the house. No chance to drive through the garage and take out the house at the same time.

I grew up not far from there. You couldn't give me that house. Very cold-looking on the inside and I'll bet it's a real hoot in the Chicago winters.

$2,3000,000 Wow, what kind of number it that???I think that falls under if you have to ask you cant afford it. Or the extra zero was put there to discourage the riff raff from making an offer.

(That said, I am sure there are some good places out there...I live in Massachusetts, but there are still some decent, beautiful places here. And some good people, too...:)

I’m in CA but visited MA one time a few years ago — loved it. Have friends in a cute little community in Pembroke not far from Plymouth. If not for the weather and that I’m not used to snow, I’d move there in a heartbeat.
So green, so many trees, etc. I even liked Cape Cod, and Hyannisport. Got a glimpse of the Kennedy compound from about a block away. Can you imagine?
To: Yaelle
Ok, I’ll bite — how far from Chicago IS Ferris’s house?
I’m in L.A., and the old Beverly Hills 90210 TV show house was miles away in Altadena or thereabouts. Ridiculous.
To: MinuteGal
Most “modern” places are cold-looking, even if they use deeper colors. Like hospitals.
