I have a scoop, yes. The next season of 24, which narrates the adventures of the intrepid agent against terrorist Jack Bauer, aka Kiefer Sutherland, will be held at UN Headquarters. New York.
Jack Bauer, dragged to court during the previous season for his brutal methods and unorthodox, has experienced a deep personal turmoil, and intends to devote to the maintenance of international peace in his new home of the United Nations.
This turmoil confirms victory of virtue, the new consciousness of the American superpower in the Obama era, especially the triumph of the Department of Public Awareness of the UN, which strives to enhance the image of the Organization international popular culture, and the scenarios of the television or Hollywood. Eric Falt**, the dynamic director of the department, was shocked to see in an episode of 24, an employee of the United Nations described as a despicable coward.
He politely complained to the director of the series at a dinner. The latter, taken aback, he apologized before Falt ask: "how can we buy for you?" This will be done.
The next series will be shot entirely in studio sets replicating in the bowels of the vast building. Places, "which are real" are worthy of the best fiction scenarios.

I thought they killed him off?
I did not even watch it this season...
.. how were the ratings?

That's the UN alright!
We were not happy with this seasons shows. Not at all sure we will even bother watching the new season when it starts.
Me either. I gave up on this one about halfway through it.
Trainwreck. Glad I never watched the show.
24 Hrs in the Left Wing. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Good Riddance Kiefer/Gargoyle.

The ratings were solid during the first half of the season, but really declined after the midseason White House invasion storyline.
I think the second half of the season was pretty bad.
I watch no shows that employ Jeneane Garofalo.

You weren’t the only one who gave up at midseason: they lost over 1 million viewers after the midseason mark.
Every time I tuned-in this season, Bauer was deathly sick and President Cherry Jones was dealing with some betrayal by her whacky daughter.
They were very boring episodes, I didn’t watch even one to the end.
what about the incurable disease?
I will wait on judgement until the DVD’s come out in late 2010. I never watch on TV...can’t stand having to wait a week to see the next part. The DVD’s are great because you can watch them right after the other when you have time.
I’ve been watching for the past 4 years. I won’t be watching next year.
I thought they would at least have one or two more minutes of showtime left to let us know what happened, but it seemed more like they ran out of film or people just started to walk off the set, or they just didn't know what to do next. I expect next season will be a real downer.
I do not plan on watching more than the first episode - just for some closure to the whole Jack Bauer as hero thing. Then 24 is done for me. I predict the next season will be so PC they will lose more than half their audience before the halfway mark.
I’ll tune in if they have an episode where a crowd of thousands of pissed-off Americans trash the U.N. Building and set it on fire.
U.N. Headquarters is a waste of prime Manhattan real estate.
The DVD’s for Season 7 are available now. I got it the day after the season finale. Amazon has it.
Garofalo is gone for Season 8. She’s not going to NY with Bauer, Chloe and Walker.

Protecting the UN is not the same thing as working for the UN. Seems realistic. US agents have to bail out the UN quite often.
Jack even dressed down a UN official in 24:Redemption.
I’ll be there for Season 8. Seven was one of the best since Season 1.

exactly. I met Joel Surnow 2 years ago in Hollywood during the Liberty Film Fest, and he was very classy and friendly to everyone. I still find it perplexing that even though he grew up in L.A., he should;ve been raised as a Dem but ended up conservative.
Wasn't it about midseason when they started running those Save the Planet ads starring the members of the show? That was the final nail in the 24 coffin for me (along with the simply incredible storyline.)
As an early fan of the series who felt that it had unfortunately jumped the shark, I finally watched the most recent episodes on DVD. Remarkably, I thought it was the best it’s ever been.

LOL!
Season 7 was a lot better than Season 6 but definitely not as good as during it’s early years. The wimpy President Wayne Palmer was a blot on season 6 and well as Jack’s family. This past season was very good though.

Maybe I should post it as a caption thread?
