Thread looks very nice!
I hope its better than the so called race at Charlotte.Pathetic to let it end the way it did.
Obama's fault.
Cool thread :) Thanks!!
I’m ready!
I personally can’t wait to see Fox leave and on to TNT and RaceBuddy!! It was great last year and they say will be better this year. And, should have more than 6 races.
______________________________________________
They may have only six races, but last season the NASCAR on TNT crew put on a show that captured both the attention and imagination of fans across the country. This summer, the network is bringing the type of technical innovation that will change how fans want to view races forever.
It was a simple online application called RaceBuddy that TNT offered last year as a companion for the TV coverage of the race. Computer users could access several cameras directly as well as driver audio feeds. The cameras included in-car views, a dedicated pit road camera and a camera up on the grandstand roof that continually followed the best racing on the track, wherever it was happening.
By simply adding that online offering to viewing the TNT coverage of the race, it was easy to get deeply involved in directing and producing a personal version of the live races. TNT supplied the raw materials and told the fans to simply have fun.
This summer, beginning on June 7 in Pocono, TNT returns with all the usual suspects from last season. Marc Fein and Larry McReynolds will share the infield stage while Bill Weber, Kyle Petty and Wally Dallenbach will call the six races. Down on pit road will be Matt Yocum, Marty Snider, Ralph Sheheen and Lindsay Czarniak.
TDP fans will also appreciate the return of Director Mike Wells who frames NASCAR races from a true fan’s perspective. Last season Wells and his crew showed viewers the power of effective camera work and a thorough understanding of the sport. Click here to read the TDP summary of TNT’s 2008 effort. Some of the reader comments really tell the tale.
This year, TNT may have really pushed the NASCAR TV envelope to a new level. The network has decided to pour a ton of resources into an expanded RaceBuddy that will change the viewing experience of NASCAR racing once again.
Back by popular demand will be the battle-cam. This is the “high” camera that just scans the track for the best racing regardless of position. Also back will be the various “speed shots” offered via track-cam. These are the fixed cameras around the track that feature the field roaring by with full audio as well.
Obama’s, AND AlGore’s fault, too.
Ya know, globull warming.....
It’s free and no commentating on that. You can mute the TV :)

A tad frustrating to say the least.
Reminds me of when Mom got a new VCR. Son had always programmed it for her, but he was overseas. Told her I would do it and she flat told me no, she would wait for him to return.
Six months later, he came back and did it. :)
I don’t have a sister, so would really know about that.
Am willing to try it though if you have one that would volunteer....
Love the cool Monster graphics!
I’ll be at this race with my daughter. Looking forward to it. Depending on weather, we may go to Qualifying on Friday.
Ok. And you think you can discuss driving styles with Tony Stewart? You get dropped on your head a lot when you were little Dwayne?
I talked to my little sister about your offer and she is on the way...
I was just thinking about the old “be careful what you wish for” line.
We finally got some rain today.
Now it probably won’t stop for 40 days.
Started on the Ark last week here in WV!
Looks like one of my old ones...
It’s been so long since we’ve seen rain, people don’t know what to do.
Thanks for the ping. Here’s hoping Dover is as exciting as Charlotte was not!!
LOL - I thought his kissing the ground was hysterical.think David was nervous he was going to lose one of his pitcrew there. :)

That time of silence to honor the military during the race was so amazing, here it is again if anyone wants to see it.
Chocolate prefaced this by saying that he is a big Dale Jr fan and is personal friends with Dale Jr and all of those guys over there on the 88 car. He wants nothing more than to see them succeed, winning races and championships.
He said to put it honest, they are running like crap and changes need to be made. However, all of the people calling for a crew chief change were completely off base. He said he has been around this sport long enough to know. That team has major problems but they go much much much deeper than the crew chief and driver. He said changes need to be made in the area of where the cars are built. He said there is a fundamental problem that runs deep into the shop and has nothing to doe with Tony Jr.
They need to change around engineers, car chiefs, people around Tony Jr who have a hand in the building and setups of the car. He said go on and make a crew chief change...I promise you that you will not like the results. Replacing Tony Jr won’t change a thing. They will be no better off then they are now. He said as a matter of fact, as he has seen at RCR, it will probably make it worse. He said because then Dale Jr won’t have that person who he can trust and communicate well with in Tony Jr and it will snowball from there. He said he has seen this play out before and it will not be pretty.
He said he knew there were major problems but they just have to figure out the right way to fix it. He said everybody is running around with all of these opinions but they do not have any better ideas on a solution or how to fix it. Everybody just needs to calm down and not jump the gun with replacing Tony Jr because he truly believes that is a huge mistake.
Changes are needed but in the way of engineers and people who work directly on the car...not in the area of crew chief. He said the problems run so deep...that is the only way you will ever fix it and make it better
Carl Edwards i have some cool sponsors guys...yesterdays commercial shoot was fun. the whole crew was great even though they had to change locations at the last minute bc of the coke 600 delay. it was hot and they had to put up with a bunch of goof-offs (gillette young guns) for ten hours! we had a world class director in peter farrelly (dumb and dumber, something about mary,etc..) gonna be some funny stuff at gillette.com

I hope these pics will stick, I didn't feel like doing the photobucket thing.
Just don’t put my driver in that car...
and don’t put my crew chief on that car..
and don’t put my pit crew on that car...
and don’t put my engineers on that car...
Yes!
Ruh Roh!
Eury Jr. out as crew chief for slumping Earnhardt
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090528/ap_on_sp_au_ra_ne/car_nascar_earnhardt_eury_fired
CHARLOTTE, N.C. Dale Earnhardt Jr. will have a new crew chief starting with this weekend’s race at Dover because of a slump that has dragged deep into the season.
Tony Eury Jr. was removed as crew chief of Earnhardt’s No. 88 team Thursday. The two are cousins and have worked together during Earnhardt’s entire career.
“It seemed the harder we pushed, the more it unraveled,” team owner Rick Hendrick told The Associated Press.
