I wonder if anyone else on this forum remembers Silky Sullivan. If not, look him up in Wikipedia and you will find out that Bill Shoemaker brought him from dead last and 28 lengths back to win the 1958 Santa Anita Derby. Now that was fun to watch.

I wasn't around for the race but that one is duly noted. I think this win from behind is second to that race or at least wins by the most links from behind. Please don't quote me as I only watch the big horse races. Someone on the forum probably knows these stats.
