Pirates Foil U.S. Captain's Escape Attempt

With the captain swimming away from the boat, why weren't the pirates blown away? The Navy is either not watching too closely or they are under orders not to use deadly force.

EXACTLY!!!

From the report, it is obvious the NAVY in the vicinity were aware of his attempt to escape, including the fact that he somehow managed to jump into the water.

THEREFORE, why did not the NAVY have plans for just such a contingency? And if there were SEALS on the scene (AND THERE DAMNED WELL SHOULD HAVE BEEN) why were they not turned loose at that very moment to "TAKE OUT THE BAD GUYS?"

One sharpshooting sniper, with night-vision capabilities, could have taken all 4 out in a matter of seconds, especially, after the scumbags had seen the head of one of their compatriots explode, which at the very least, would have "distracted" the rest.

There's something rotten in Denmark!!!
