Well, with the upcoming government-mandated restrictions on what models they can produce, they probably wouldn’t be real competitive anyway. Hard for me to picture a hybrid car winning many races.

Well, it does show up if you Google it, on car and driver, and also Road and Driver. And Jared Gall is a writer for them. I suppose it could be craftily entered in to the internet as an April Fool’s joke.....but......
Actually electric engines are more effecient than internal combustion. I think there are electric racers. Formula 1 just added a battery thing that charges up during a lap and gives the cars 6.6 seconds of 80+ more hp or probably 800 bhp.
Obama is destroying the country and stealing all of our rights. If you think he cares or is worried about NASCAR then you “ain’t” paying attention. I am not putting down NASCAR or fans but he could care less what we think.

I read a few of the comments after the artice and people were slamming NASCAR fans, saying things along the line of “It’s about time they outlawed this red-neck sport”.
Whether or not this story is true or not, it is scary that some folks would be HAPPY that the Government would dictate (or even care) what some of the American people consider sport.
NASCAR fan or not, we can not let this (or any) Government have this much control.
Sadder yet, some fools think that the Government should have that exact authority.
If Americans really feel this way about NASCAR (or any sport), they have the God-given right to vote with their very own pocket books (as long as the so-called U.S. Government hasn’t raided the pocket book too far).

GM May not survive anyway, but NASCAR will. When Winston cup got canned, it was a minor ripple in NASCAR......and 2 years later all was normal again.
Yeah based on this text it is a joke. GM and Chrysler cars will continue to “exist” in races as long as the teams find sponsors. My guess is they just buy a block, add the other parts, pistons, cranks, etc and most of the stuff is not factory anyway.
