Brazil's President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has said the world's poor people should not be forced to pay for the global financial crisis. President Lula said white, blue-eyed people - not Indians, nor black, nor poor people - had created and spread the crisis throughout the world.

LOL, wouldn’t Lula himself be ‘white’?
That would seem to explain his addition of “blue eyes” to the description.
So Lupo won’t mind when Blue-eyed white people stop sending our Aid money!
Mel
Sounds like an out and out racist to me
Based upon the oil and energy markets, we may be getting aid from Brazil soon.
Turn a whiter shade of pale.
Was Lula into “the sauce”, as he frequently is?
He was being 100% ‘racist*’; have no doubt about that.
* I hate the word ‘racist’. There should be a better word for the same, because neither blue eyes nor white skin are tied to any particular “race”.
No doubt in Lula’s eyes some browns are more equal than other browns.
Fur Shur many famous world explorers did their level best at expanding the range for blue eyes and light skin.
Old white Brazilian guys shouldn't get into rap...
Yes, the economic crisis was entirely caused by white people with blue eyes...like Franklin D. Raines, former head of Fannie Mae.
Maybe he should have Castro pay the tab with some of the billions he’s stolen from suckers like the US! Anyhow, I assume his rant was conducted over a microphone in a heated/air conditioned room after he drove to the event, after he flew in....none of which he’d have been able to do without those damned blue-eyed white people.
He's not Sa'mi or Suomi of course
Well, compared to the rest, they've utterly failed in that regard. The Chinese, and by extension, the Native Americans and the Polynesians / Austronesians, among others, beat all in terms of geographic spread, numbers and time of achievement.
As to the little turd’s remarks: “T’is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.”
Yes, but nobody reports on it. THe NYTimes Rio bureau cheif, almost got his visa yanked for writing about it a while back. Lula is an ignoramous who came to power as a trade unionist rabble rouser. He seems to have moved to the center and takes few risks.

I don't suppose you've ever taken a look at who runs the world. By the end of the 19th century virtually every nation on Earth was under the white man's heel.
And what's the result on the ground?
Straight-haired, narrow eyed Chinese-like peoples are spread on practically all continents, and much, much before any other peoples. You do know that the Chinese, the Japanese, the Native Americans from both continents, the Polynesians, and others, are ethnically related, don't you?
In the natural order of things, that would be the definition of biological success.
As far as the Chinese are concerned they and the European peoples share a common ancestry a bare 50,000 years back, and even today due to Ice Age swaps 5% of the heritage of every European is East Asian, and 5% of the heritage of every East Asian is European.
The Sa'ami, the first group to break out of the Western European Ice Age refugia, had also managed to get to North America just in time to "found" the Clovis culture.
The Eskimo and modern Indian people in both North and South America derive substantially from the Yakutian people in Siberia. They, in turn, are also known as the Sakha. That tribe, among other things, has traveled back and forth from South Asia for thousands of years evading droughts and little ice ages.
Buddha was a Sakha. So is the Emperor of Japan. No doubt a bit of "white blood" was picked up during their sojourn in India.
Thanks. That should be the word to be used. ‘Racism’ is a loaded term that is impotent to indicate what one would otherwise call, ‘reverse-racism’.
