Villagers, be aware: stranger at the door (PC madness encroaching on my neighborhood)
The Sheffield Village Crier ^ | March 2009 Edition | Greg Novak

A few weeks ago several Villagers reported a stranger knocking on their door in the evening asking for money and/or the use of a phone. The excuse was generally that she needed a locksmith. She didn't ask for much, always less than $30 but she did go to many Village home and was given an undisclosed amount of money by kind and trusting Villagers. It seems she either startled or ended across the creek as at least one San Leandro resident reported the same experience.

It is very unlikely that this was legitimate given the fact that she was given money by several Villagers, her excuses varied, and she never returned to pay them back. Besides, the loss of a few dollars, she very likely could have been "casing" homes to burglarize them.

Everyone who was victimized shoudl report it to Oakland Police at (snip)

Because of this and some seemingly unrelated recent car crime, the Sheffield Village Safety Committee has set a meeting for Wednesday, April 8yh at 7 PM.

My Village in Oakland Hills has had a bum, drug addict or scam artist/budding robber who has been seen at multiple locations and THE NEWSLETTER REFUSED TO PUT IN A DESCRIPTION OF THE SUSPECT.

I looked up the author's address and proceeded to drive by his house. The same house with the Hillary, then Obama stickers, No on 8, etc. and figured it out.

A Liberal, even in the face of potential property loss or personal injury from a suspicious person who has repeatedly been seen trolling his OWN NEIGHBORHOOD, is too PC to post a description of who the woman is.

This is the same paper who is sponsoring the Village Egg Hunt (Easter ommitted).

Liberalism is truly a mental defect, this guy would rather have his family hurt or invaded vs. revealing who the crazy thief/scammer is.

Am I missing something, or how do you explain something like this.

Sorry, FRiends, I just was so upset today I had to write, he wasn't home this afternoon. Probably at the cop killer celebrations in East Oakland.

We are considering Idaho and our house is on the market (should break even).

Looks like a nice neighborhood.
How are you supposed to be on the lookout for someone if there is no description?

There is a board meeting on March 30. 7:15pm Maybe you and a few neighbors should become community activists and let the board know how you feel.

Maybe he doesn’t describe any criminals in his articles. Tomorrow night, make sure the author is home and then throw a rock through his window. Let him get a good look at you before you run away. Then wait and see if he puts your description in the paper.
