(music)
In The Garden
I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear falling on my ear
The Son of God discloses.
And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.
He speaks, and the sound of His voice,
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing,
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing.
Id stay in the garden with Him
Though the night around me be falling,
But He bids me go; through the voice of woe
His voice to me is calling.

The Need For Nourishment
Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Psalm 37:3
Our grandson Cameron was born 6 weeks prematurely. Undersized and in danger, he became a resident of the hospitals neonatal unit for about 2 weeks until he gained enough weight to go home. His biggest challenge was that, in the physical exercise of eating, he burned more calories than he was taking in. This obviously hindered his development. It seemed that the little guy took two steps backward for every step of progress he made.
No medicine or treatment could solve the problem; he just needed the strength-giving fortification of nourishment.
As followers of Christ, we are constantly finding our emotional and spiritual reserves drained by the challenges of life in a fallen world. In such times, we need nourishment to strengthen us. In Psalm 37, David encouraged us to strengthen our hearts by feeding our souls. He wrote, Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness (v.3).
When weakness afflicts us, the reassurance of Gods never-ending faithfulness can enable us to carry on in His name. His faithful care is the nourishment we need, giving us, as the hymn Great Is Thy Faithfulness says, strength for today, and bright hope for tomorrow.
Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside! Chisholm

GOD BLESS AND PROTECT OUR TROOPS!
Amazing Grace
by John Newton
Amazing grace! How sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now am found; Was blind, but now I see. . Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, . And grace my fears relieved; How precious did that grace appear The hour I first believed! . Through many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come; Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far, And grace will lead me home. . The Lord has promised good to me, His Word my hope secures; He will my Shield and Portion be, As long as life endures. . Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail, And mortal life shall cease, I shall possess, within the veil, A life of joy and peace. . The earth shall soon dissolve like snow, The sun forbear to shine; But God, Who called me here below, Will be forever mine. . When weve been there ten thousand years, Bright shining as the sun, Weve no less days to sing Gods praise Than when wed first begun.

I am going to another birthday party today, Meg. It’s my granddaughter’s today. Its a small gathering. Seems that is all I do anymore and my youngest son’s birthday is March 7, although he won’t be having a party but we may go out to eat. I am lucky to be able to enjoy these events and am very thankful.

This is the one who was married December, 2007 and will graduate from college in May. She will be 23 years old. Her new husband says she has had to study the whole time they’ve been married...he’s a good guy! She has carried quite a load and worked too. And became a second mother to little Addyson.
She couldn’t love her own child anymore than she loves Addyson. She has always loved children and will be teaching Elementary School. I hope she gets the little kids but I don’t know much about which grades she will teach yet.

The sweet picture of the nest in the mailbox prompted me to share a little story about nests:
When a guest enters my home, the first thing seen is an antique curio.
On each shelf, is a display of bird nests;
some are very small, other larger.
Those that don't know me well, often ask why?
What is the significance of nests?
My answer may sound silly to some, or give food for thought to others:
Nests represent so many things to me:
The preparation and building
Where every small addition is of great significance
The planning for, and care of a family,
A warm, cozy safe haven, with protection from the elements,
The beginning of life and a place for growth
A room where there is always nutritious food and nuturing care.
And above all, a home
A home filled with love.
From The Nightingale's Nest
By John Clare
How curious is the nest ; no other bird
Uses such loose materials, or weaves
Its dwelling in such spots : dead oaken leaves
Are placed without, and velvet moss within,
And little scraps of grass, and, scant and spare,
What scarcely seem materials, down and hair ;
For from men's haunts she nothing seems to win.
Yet Nature is the builder, and contrives
Homes for her children's comfort, even here ;
The poem is lovely and can be read in it's entirety, here

I had more cardinals this winter than ever. I had 7 pairs at one time..I think they have all mostly moved on this last week but one regular pair..preparing to raise their families. I notice their songs are longer and more beautiful in the early morning. .
I have already done birds in the snow this winter..and you can be sure I will do them again..I love birds.
