Dr. Savage has Philip Berg on his Savage Nation show right now. Started 3pm P.T.
It's been months since Savage had him on. He appears to have renewed interest in the issue...
Is it just me or do Savage interviews sound “canned”, as if the guest has pre-recorded and interview and Savage’s comments are edited into it?
If it’s the third hour, the answer is “yes, usually”.
Today, with Berg, it was live.
“Savages comments are edited into it?”
His third hour ones are that way often. This one was a live phone call.
ya beat me to it!
Rats, missed it!
Any interesting news from Berg?
Why would he edit his third hour?
He really only does a 2 hour show many times. He is 65 or 66 and has been slowing down a bit, IMHO.
Pick up a re-run here. Many other shows, too.

Some comment would be a good thing.
No the third hour is mostly pre recorded interviews
Can be a repeat or a canned inteview
Nothing really new. He thinks Sen Shelby speaking up is a good sign and that the GOP may be waking up. Berg said countries offshore know Obama was born in Kenya. I have heard the UK intelligence, Russia, Indonesia and Africa know he was born in Kenya.
He thinks Obama is or will be blackmailed by other countries. When O is thrown out the stimulus and other laws will be void. Berg is trying to get his sealed case unsealed soon. Berg is tireless.
My opinion would be just the opposite. He's often going off on tangents, of which his guests need to keep track of.
Savage (appeared) to take interest and seemed to be amazed at the fact that Barry has sealed all his college records along with his original b.c. my guess is that Savage will either have Berg on again soon and/or will have other guest’s on like Dr. Taitz. Savage said he did this because of some CNN program that was holding up a copy of the image of the short form colb from the internet as proof...and that ticked him (Savage) off. Usually, when Savage is ticked at the MSM in such a way, he tends to want to expose them as much as he can. At least, that’s my interpretation.
For sure! As is Dr. Taitz!!!
Thank you.
I wish Berg all the luck in the world with this one. His credibility with me is just about nil, since he is the first among the 9/11 “Truthers” with the wackiest takes on reality.
A better front man with equal passion, and a more rational manner of presentation would likely forage further ahead in the legal arena...IMHO.
I really do not know why sensible people are pursuing this any further - it simply has little to no chance of working in the real world, and serves more as a distraction and a dilution of efforts.
Where zer0bama needs to be fought and defeated is in the court of public opinion - right now.
There is an enormous and growing passion against him, and his ideas. This is burgeoning on a daily basis. Up until now Conservatives have done their organizing within their party and through fundraising for the party and recruitment aimed at swelling the ranks of the party.
Right now the party name is damaged, owing to the RINO phonies who drove years of reckless spending, believing that they would magically get Dems to vote for them, and Demo politicians on the other side of the aisle to like them and treat them fairly if they ever regained power.
Obviously a poor and losing strategy. Now we are locked out of the meaningful decision making sessions, and thanks to allowing idiots like Specter, Collins, and Snowe to have remained in the party, we have “Porkulus”...
Given zer0 and Reid and Pelosi’s excesses and wanton abuses of their powers, I believe it is highly likely that they have already committed and are in the process of committing more impeachable offenses.
Conservatives lack the force of numbers to impeach them conveniently in the next 2 years, but mid-terms ARE only 2 years away, and if we get busy now and choose our targets well, offer appealing alternatives to the entrenched dems and their economic disaster policies, we can pick off enough to at least create an effective stalemate, if not retake a slight majority.
It only takes a majority of a few in house and senate in order to blunt everything else that zer0 tries to do.
They could then sit on their hands, let the remaining two years run their course, let the stimulus wreak its havoc, and make certain that zer0 is permanently saddled with the responsibility for that wasteful albatross.
That will create a better environment for the general election, and since we know the media will be completely in the tank and on ther knees for zer0, we must all understand in advance that we will have to get the most CONSERVATIVE tandem possible for the GOP ticket.
After four years of ‘bama, there will be plenty of support for such a revival if we start doing our work NOW.
IMHO, this is far better than pinning our hopes on a “silver bullet” solution to rescue us from our nation’s mistake right now.
The quick fixes seldom ever work. Just look at “Porkulus”.
Even if a credible case was built against zer0, and suddenly got the backing of prominent mainstream pols (highly unlikely) the chances of a win are too small and too risky.
If it was tried and lost, the media would beat up on the Conservative movement ruthlessly.
Every name in Conservatism would be associated with a turkey of a “Smear attempt”, just like the mainstream media associates generic evangelical Christianity with snake handling, “babbling” in tongues, beating up gays, and murdering abortionists.
Wrongly, of course...but they would do it nonetheless. Just recall what they did to Sarah Palin and her church associations. Increase that by a magnitude of 10, and that would be their jumping-off point.
Conservatism needs true “heroes”, well-vetted, battle-tested and battle-ready, we must clear a path ahead of them, and have our flags ready and our ammo high and dry.
Plus any other inspirational cliches you can think of...LOL!
Seriously, we have to have a good foundation beneath us, because the nation’s future rests in our hands.
We may, with G_d’s grace, survive four years of combined Obama/Pelosi/Reid power abuses, but eight years would probably be the death knell for our noble republic.
These morons plan to strip our military to the bones and sinews by crippling the economy that supports it, co-opting its morale by ushering hordes of gays in command structure, neutering it with “feminazi-ization”, and subjugating it with layers of bureaucractic rules on “how to fight wars fairly, smartly, and sensitively”.
And of course they will use the military as a PR tool - handing out meals and cookies in remote sandboxes and jungles for political “feel-good” photo-ops.
If our economy goes, so does our military. If our military goes, so go all of us.
We 65 million NRA members cannot protect the country from what would happen if two dozen nulear ICBMs were launched from Iran (or worse, imagine Ahmedinejad getting friendly with Hugo Chavez, and using Venezuela as a proxy launch point for half such an arsenal) at major US cities.
Think... New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Diego, Dallas-Ft Worth, Philadelphia, Houston, Denver, Boston, Washington D.C., Miami, Seattle,...
That’s all it would take, and more than 50 million Americans could be immediately vaporized, another 50 to 100 million would suffer from fatal levels of radiation poisoning. More than 85% of our country’s financial infrastructure would be utterly destroyed, and five major shipping ports entirely disabled.
We wouldn’t need our leaders to surrender for us - the remaining hungry 100 to 200 million of us would have little choice.
And our “dear leader” wants to reduce our nuclear capabilities, curb further development, and NOT “weaponize” space.
Oh, and he favors a sit-down to talk with Ahmedinejad...
A clear and present danger, no doubt, but we must bide our time, and get this done the right way.
A.A.C.
I’ve felt that way too, although not on this particular interview.
It is obvious by now that a political solution is impossible if the country is to be saved. It does not matter if Republicans take over in 2010, gain seats in 2012 and win the Presidency. The country cannot survive the debt we are piling up without drastic changes, and politicians are not the people to do the job. What we need is a revolution, with all the bad that goes along with it, and pray for the good to rise to the top like it did in 1776. We do not need a large centralized govt to exist in the world, we need what the founders envisioned. A collection of sovereign states with most of the power and control of money, and a federal govt to do ONLY what the states individually cannot do.
With all due respect, American Arch Conservative, the reason people are still so passionate about the subject is because of an object, an idea sacred to the very foundation of our republic.
The Constitution.
Granted, we must fight Obama’s ideas tooth and nail on all fronts as they present themselves, but for someone to claim to stand for the Constitution, it is moral cowardice to sit back and say “ah well, nobody will ever believe us...”
One could make the same argument for Roe v Wade, and yet it is a moral absolute that we must stand up for those who are defenseless (well, technically not the same “moral” argument, but schematically). To say it another way - Even if you have no hope of winning, even if the majority rolls you year after year, one must stand up and be counted on the side of the RIGHT. I have yet to see an argument from the “give it a rest about the birth cert” crowd, counter this fundamental point.
Regards,
chris
I hope you understand clearly, I distrust Obama and his alleged place of birth as the records (or lack thereof) now stand. This is analogous to the situation the GOP and the American public faced in the 2004 election cycle with regard to John eFfin sKerry and his repeated agreement to produce his official discharge status papers. “Lurch” never came across with squat. We knew of course that he would not.
In like manner we also knew, once the rumours began to surface about zer0 being born in Kenya, that he would send teams of attorneys to suppress it, argue it down, or buy off the judges, while joining the slimestream media, in pretending to ignore the whole affair.
I do not disagree with the set of principles being upheld, rather I unabashedly support standing on principles.
However, up until now, there have been not less than ten different suits filed on probably at least five different legal pretexts, with likely hald a dozen (or more) different individuals being named as “injured party(ies)”.
I think the time for courtroom antics is passed - for the moment. It may well return, if those among us who make such investigations their business are wise enough to keep their mouths closed and fly well “beneath the radar” -just for the time being. It would be better if there were more action in the field and less coverage, until such time as the “gotcha” of all “gotchas” is obtained, verified with the most unimpeachable of methodologies, etc.
With the fact of there having been several suits over this basic issue, the principle has been stated, defined, and stood upon - we all know we stand for the Constitution.
Until we have the “gotcha”, and the means to air it out very publicly and irrefutably - preferably with the element of surprise on our side - chasing wisps of smoke is simply counterproductive.
Especially if “we” move too early and carelessly. It puts those who support these principles at risk of being marginalized and muzzled in this environment.
We all know that there are more than just a handful who would love to impose the “fairness doctrine” whether directly or by stealth, incrementally or all at once, under that name, or in masquerade.
Can you think of a bigger plum to hand to them on a silver platter than jumping the gun on the birth certificate issue?
It is practically made to order. The mainstream media would be in full assault mode, all the talking heads would be tut-tutting in unison, the phony conservative columnists who do the occasional favorable column would be condemning and distancing themselves at top speed, and even a few reliable real conservatives would step away.
The chorus would grow louder from inside the beltway for “some kind of restraint, some form of standards...watchdog measures for radio and the internet. Faster than you can say “Arlen Specter”, we’d be demonized, marginalized, and virtually censored. Possibly monitored as well.
Don’t misunderstand - I am not advocating that the doubters among us just sit back and say “oh well”. What I am saying is there is a time to fight and a time to regroup. Let the lefties think we are not busy...let them think we have dropped it, and accepted our “defeat”.
It is not moral cowardice to choose our battles wisely. It is not moral cowardice to understand when we are at an unfair disadvantage that we may not be able to overcome on our own right now.
We are in round 3 of a 15 round boxing match, and we just got rope-a-doped, rabbit punched, and punched below the belt in the closing seconds. The referee is not going to give us anything. We may know we can take this guy, but we first have to recover ourselves and revamp our approach to the fight. For a round or so, we have to keep pace, throw som blows that are more than just token punches, while we hold our own and make sure we do nothing stupid (don’t allow the ref a chance to call a TKO against us). When we are ready to unload on our opponent from a position of fresh strength, we play possum, and step in and UNLOAD.
Unload with all of it. In this case, articles of impeachment, nullification of everything he has signed or done as US President by the Judicial and legislative branches, removal of Biden and all of zer0’s cabinet (especially Hildabeest, who is fourth or fifth in line of succession, IIRC - and ideologically almost indistinguishable from “0”)
We would have to go further than that. I believe the speaker of the house is either third or fourth - and we most certainly do not want “Botox Queen” Nancy Pelosi behind the big desk in the Oval office. How would we get around that?
All I am pointing out is that there is a “law” of unintended consequences, and though I want “0” out of the White House too, I do not think that some of the people pursuing the suit have thought their way fully through the possible scenarios.
Maybe some have...Berg is a known Hillary supporter. Where do you suppose his loyalties would lie if his suit succeeded?! He certainly would not be on the SCOTUS steps advocating for Sarah Palin, IMHO.
We do not do enough good if we chop one head of the monster off only to have another indistinguishable one replace it.
There will be other consequences, IMO. Close to ninety percent of black voters in this country voted for zer0.
They would be a figurative cauldron of bubbling resentment and bitterness ready to boil over into rapacious violence if “their man” was removed from office or made to resign.
Their level of support was highly irrational and flourished in spite of the negative facts about “0”. Do you think they would suddenly, willingly believe that “0” was guilty of rooking us all?
I do not think so. Some might be persuaded, but I would expect the remainder to continue in their (mindless, colour-based) irrational support, and I think that would make all the racial riots we have ever had in this country, put together, seem like a walk in the park.
As a matter of principle, our Constitution is worth defending, nonetheless, but there has to be a way - an approach - that would effectively avoid or deflect that.
Could “0” be approached with a day’s worth of grace or so and given a chance to step down - along with the condition that his entire cabinet tender their resignations as well?
Would he claim some medical condition, or...?
It would look suspicious as well, but we cannot simply get rid of him and expect things to be better with Biden, Pelosi, Reid, or Hilda.
If as we allege, 0bama was ineligible, then he should never have been on the Dem ticket, let alone allowed to hold the office.
So then his pick of Biden is up in the air - or is it? What about all of his cabinet appointments? Are they null and void? Blagojevich seems to have been allowed to appoint a replacement Senator, so could we make the argument that since “0” was ineligible, any running mate or cabinet member choice he nade was also negated.
This would definitely represent something unprecedented in all of US history, on many levels.
Agnew resigned, and Nixon chose Ford. Then Nixon resigned, and Ford ascended and chose Rockefeller to be seated as VP. Ford narrowly beat out Reagan, but he and Rockefeller were unseated by Carter/Mondale....Then we got Reagan...
My points - resolving the ONE legal issue (no matter how important) does not get a Conservative Republican into the office next, and does not get us across the finish line.
There are consequences that would naturally follow, and other questions which would need answering, and those things all require...
Strategy.
Which is to this scenario, what “location” famously is to real estate.
“Location, location, location”
“Strategy, strategy, strategy”
Just fighting and being right are not enough, by themselves.
We need to develop a plan that includes succession, keeping a maximum level of domestic peace, and restoring faith in our (limited form of) government and the full exercise of our Constitution and all rights accorded thereto!
In the meanwhile we must oppose the dems and their entire, monolithic agenda, and their singularly partisan manner of governing. The only problem is how to do it when they turn a deliberately deaf ear to all who oppose their schemes.
Believe me, this whole revolting state of affairs sickens and disgusts me. As the opposition, we MUST be effective in what we do.
A.A.C.
AAC,
That was a tremendous post, and I’m sorry if i was a bit hasty in my reply last night (just landed after a long flight). I can see you’re a tremendous patriot, and a thoughtful one at that.
My fear is that we’ve come too far down this road, that we’ve allowed the Left to create an alternate universe from which they’ll never be wrenched. Democrats appear to have no interest in protecting America domestically and abroad, and I believe they’d cling to power by all available methods.
The truth is going to come out on this one, however, because its simply too big of an elephant. Mr. Berg has some definite credibility issues, I believe, but on this matter he is correct: other countries and entities know about Obama’s eligibility issue, and will use that information against him. What incredible foresight our founding fathers had! Our nation was truly blessed by God, I believe, to have had so many brilliant and passionate men guide us to freedom.
But i digress. Your points on strategy are well-taken - there’s no assurance that O’s replacement wouldn’t be worse than the status quo. It certainly is a daunting set of circumstances this country faces. I just finished re-reading the Lord of the Ring last night on the plane, and couldn’t help but compare our current situation to the challenges facing the Men of the West. Where is our Aragorn? Where is our Gandalf?
Hmmm- I suppose if i’m going with the LOTR analogy, maybe that makes me one of the secondary hobbits (Pippin? Merry?) I started writing conservative songs at patriotmusiconline.com, and i finished a manuscript for a novel which includes the political/social challenges of our day...
Anyways, all the best to you, and may God save our republic.
Regards,
chris
“I think the time for courtroom antics is passed”
Well no. The functioning of our Constitution is more important than Obama. The testing of our Judiciary must continue even if not sucessful. That no one has standing, not a voter, not a candidate, not a soldier, not a state official and not an elector, is a travesty.
I don’t disagree with the overriding importance of our Constitution.
To restate my strategically oriented reservations again, I think it might prove ultimately more damaging to go into court with a case that is anything less than the proverbial “ten feet tall and bulletproof”.
Berg gives off the distinct impression of one who would proceed with less than that.
Guilt by association would make all of us who support such action (for all the right reasons, albeit) appear to be worthy of tarring with the same brush as Phil Berg. As an archetype “9/11 Truther”, he has image and credibility problems that an already damaged GOP nameplate could not weather well.
Yes, of course I grant that the GOP has not exactly been a paragon of conservatism the past ten years, but nonetheless the madia will associate all of us with the most extreme elements by slant and implication. Both Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity have saliently observed within the last few days that Democrats can and most often, anymore, do get away with their moral abuses and legal transgressions with naught more thatn a figurative slap on the wrist.
Look at Clinton (if you can bear it) Neither he nor Hillary have paid a significant price for his abuses while in office. They scarcely missed a beat. If the Lewinsky “scandal” had not occurred, we might have suffered 4 to 8 years of AlBore.
Even if Gore had not succeeded, we would more likely have had Hillary as the Dem nominee than zer0. Even so, she is SecState. I hardly consider that “paying the price” This is the point: Media is in the tank and on their knees entirely for zer0. They will do with this pending drama what they did with Rev. Wright, Bill Ayers, Rezko, ad infinitum, ad nauseum...
They will do with it what they did with Senator Fred Thompson’s candidacy - set their “phazers” on ‘ignore’.
The worst thing that can be done right now with this is exhaust the public’s patience with the process, by parading through courtroom after courtroom.
Getting slapped down by one court after another detracts from the long term viability of making a real case. It gives a real excuse for an otherwise truly neutral judge to dismiss. All he has to do is look at 5 or 7 or 10 failed attempts, to decide that somebody has an axe to grind, and is simply “court shopping”.
If you talk to any judges, or attorneys who are regularly in court, they will affirm that this is not a reputation you want to have following you into a courtroom where you are expecting yourself, and your case to be treated with respect and “gravitas”.
Zer0 and his high probability ineligible stature under the Constitution are important, but...
As I mentioned in my earlier post, there are unanswered questions and unintended consequences that would follow - even in the event of making an entirely convincing and successful case...
How would we proceed immediately after such a history-changing revelation?
The peace and safety of “We the people” would certainly be at risk. As I also stated before, I believe there would be a significant and violent outcry both from blacks who supported zer0 - and probably a fair number of the left wing lunatic-fringe types who spent the last eight years marching in the streets with “BusHitler” signs in hand.
Could we count on the likes of Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, Rev. Wright, Bill Ayers, the Code Pinkos et al...to speak and act responsibly, to help maintain the peace?
I very much doubt it. I believe some of the aforementioned would be pricipal among inciters and bad actors.
The question is also begged - with regard to Democrats in power and members of Obama’s cabinet - who stays and who goes? How would that be decided?
If it can indeed be proven that he was placed on the Demo ticket without a challenge by a person or persons who had reason to know better, then who will be found culpable and what will be the punishment meted out to them?
As much as I think the Dem party is compromised to the point of being the “party of treason”, it would not be feasible nor practicable to blame every one of them.
What will be done about the order of succession. Since the Demo party was denied the opportunity to vote for a legally eligible candidate, does the Oval office default to the highest ranking Democrat (given that they won the general election and control the house and senate) who was outside the loop about Obama’s citizenship issues?
I mean, that could be Rep. Pelosi or Sen. Reid or Sen. Dodd, or Barney Frank, or Charles Rangel, or Sen. Charles Schumer...
Do we claim McCain as an aggrieved/injured party in behalf of American voters, since he was the duly elected, eligible, and rightful GOP candidate?
Or do we argue that the whole election should be nullified, and declare something like a massive “do-over”?
Until there are some clear answers on how these issues would be resolved, rushing into court in a hurry to be heard and maybe/not get a favourable verdict seems as unwise as - oh, I don’t know - hurrying to pass into law an $800 billion dollar spending bill that nobody has read, on the pretext that our economy is in crisis, verging on “catastrophe”.
One course represents a headlong race into socialism that we all know will not work.
The other course represents a sprint towards unknown consequences, the worst of which may be a state of political and factual anarchy... It could be the effective end of 233 years of the peaceful transfer of power in the USA.
The problem I have with that, is that it would represent a golden opportunity for our foreign enemies to boldly press an attack of some sort - right in the midst of political turmoil where there would be a distinct lack of clear, singular, and decisive leadership.
YES it is a travesty that thus far we are being impudently informed by courts that none of us have standing to challenge Obama to prove his legal eligibility, establish his credentials as a citizen (or not).
But diving into a potential morass like that without answers to the questions I have (hopefully) articulated would not be much less of a travesty.
I’d love to see it proved that half of the dems in the house and senate knowingly colluded and conspired, withheld information they should have had strong reason to believe was actionable...
Then we could summarily remove them, and prosecute under the law, negate the Porkulus bill, keep Gitmo open for at least another four years, leave enough troops rotating in and out of Iraq on a regular basis to maintain order and serve as a deterrent to Iran, Syria, and al qaeda...
We could make the GW Bush tax cuts permanent - perhaps even reduce the corporate tax load enough to incentivize companies to return to the US and set up shop again.
We could begin aggressively exploring for, drilling, and extracting our own oil, begin constructing at least half a dozen new refineries (we could become a refiner for other nations’ production as well as our own) and streamline the application/approval process to begin building new nuclear power plants and clean coal gasification plants...
Our auto mfg. and banking and housing industries would recover by themselves - and rather quickly..
All sorts of small business would spring up around them, to support and serve
With the fetters off of free enterprise and heavy industry like that, our GNP would jump by 10% a year for years into the future, Our unemployment would likely drop below 4%...anyone with a pulse could get a job.
Huh? Where am I? Oh, there I go again imagining a USA without liberalism.
Pure fantasy, I guess...
