I'll be telling my employer to keep the thirteen dollar "tax credit" the government is so generously bestowing upon me. I will not claim it at the end of the year. I need to know to whom I should write to tell them to shove their thirteen dollars where the sun does not shine. it is an insult. I saw a thread earlier asking people to join in a new tea party; I'll be there for a march on April 1. I respect governors that are planning on refusing the "stimulus" money. I am doing the same.
Take the money and donate it to a conservative cause if you refuse it they just give it to some turd on welfare.
I think the handout stipulates...an increase of $25 in unemployment checks. I thought there was also something about unemployment being tax free...but that may have just been a proposal.
Don’t refuse it! Instead, donate it to your favorite charity: RNC, State GOP, local GOP, Club For Growth or your church.
I admire your stand, but I respectfully disagree. I will take the $13, because I pay taxes. That money does not belong to the government, it rightfully belongs to me. They took it from me. I already support enough leeches, if I give them the $13 back, am I not contributing to those who live off the rest of us? —JM
why would u return your own money that you will eventually need to pay back someday
I’m still waiting for my PORKULUS check.
I’m still waiting for my PORKULUS check.
I grow tired of those who think tax cuts are not enough. I would welcome any tax relief, even if $8 or $13 per wwek.
Where is your outrage that some taxpayers do not qualify for this break because our legislators think some folks make too much money and as a result do not deserve a tax break?
Trust me, my outrage is indescribable. It is an insult for these clowns to offer me thirteen dollars a week of my own money and then act like they are my saviors.
I am more interested in a full scale tax revolt that involves 10% or better in this country telling the government find someone else to take money from.
Thats my question whats the income cut off to qualify?
Can I have it? I’ll need it to pay for feed whenever the new promised pony gets here.
FR is read by other than conservatives, including many politicians and influential members of the media. This is how our messages get spread.
Right now, FR is closest to our ideological/political home and that's where we should put any discretionary dollars.

Was there a Federal increase in withholding starting this year.
My wife still works 3 days a week, and her bi weekly check for 6 days work decreased $8.50 due to more federal withholding which she didn’t change.
I do not think there has been. Might check local taxes
But I have to agree with the majority of respondants here - the thing to do is to put those few dollars into an anti-liberal cause. NRA membership? Donate to Free Republic? etc.
Transient reactions are not useful - long term change is what is needed, and a commitment to conservative principles in both word and deed.
Can someone tell me if this is bogus or real...I got this from my sister...it’s a movie about some people who claim there is no law compelling us to pay federal income tax. I watched and it made me cringe. Can someone verify if this is all true? Or if it bogus. You can see the video here:

Hang onto it so you can pay your federal income tax bill next year.
