PORTLAND, Ore. -- The man at the center of an investigation into Mayor Sam Adams' sex scandal has done a nude photo shoot for an undisclosed amount of cash.
The Advocate reported Beau Breedlove accepted Unzipped Magazine's offer to be featured on the magazine's May cover, going Los Angeles last weekend for the shoot.
"He came to L.A. to prove that the Portland scandal does not define his sexuality,” Unzipped's Online Editor Sean Carnage told Advocate.com.
Oregon Attorney General John Kroger is investigating whether Mayor Adams engaged in illegal activity in the relationship. A firestorm of debate has raged over whether the mayor should step down, ever since he admitted to the relationship on Jan. 19.
KGW asked Breedlove specifically whether or not he had sex with Adams prior to his 18th birthday; he said he did not. He also said he was prepared to take a polygraph test to support any testimony he may be required to give for a state investigation into the scandal.
Adams has maintained a "city business only" mantra as some residents voiced their doubt that he could continue to lead.
Two other groups that want him to resign, Citizens Against Adams and Not With Sam, both spoke at past city council meetings.
