Children looked after by grandparents 'are naughtier than those who spend day in nursery'

Research says children looked
after by their grandparents are
less likely to be ready for school

Young children looked after by grandparents are more likely to be badly behaved than those sent to nursery, a study claims today.

They tended to have wider vocabularies, but were also more likely to show 'problem behaviour' and find it harder to get on with other children, said researchers.

They were also less likely to be ready for school, according to the study by the Institute of Education, a University of London research body widely viewed as left-wing.

The Institute tracked 4,800 children of working mothers and found those sent to nurseries and playgroups had a better understanding of colours, letters, numbers, sizes, comparisons and shapes.

But other experts said the findings appeared to contradict studies which found that care by grandparents was linked to happiness and security....

Yes, they are “naughtier” because they tend to have a variety of unacceptable beliefs about God, global warming, the wonderfulness of The Messiah (tm), President Barrack Obama. We need them to be kept all day in government-run indoctrination centers to ensure “correct thinking.”

They are also far less likely to get hurt than even kids taken care of by their own parents.

Kids Safest Under Grandparents’ Care

From the erstwhile "paper of record," no less.

Not that that means anything.

There’s a lot of “What a load of codswallop” from Brits in the remarks section. Maybe there’s a thread of sanity left over there.

See now the government is perfectly justified in taking children away from their grandparents and giving them to a homosexual couple. /s/barf

Well, if anyone read the entire article, you’ll see that these ‘experts’ also say that the small difference in being ‘ready’ for school is mostly outweighed by the difference in emotional security these kids show...

Naughty or assertive? Most grandmothers care what their grandkids think and encourage individualism. What a Day Care or School might consider naughty, I consider normal.

Big deal. That's about one week of instruction for a lively class of 5- or 6-year-olds. It's much easier to teach concepts to older children than to younger ones (in the aggregate). Day cares have sold all this as "required" to enter school in order to persuade the public that they're doing something parents can't.

Children are wards of the state and must be raised by the Collective to shield them from counterrevolutionary influences.

No problem. The dems are going to make sure grandparents don’t get healthcare...they won’t be around to contend with.
