Saw this and got really really excited about it.
Bonus points if you get the reference.
If this belongs somewhere else, please move.
Thank you

Metal ping! Up The Irons!
They don’t have many tour dates in the US :-(
Iron Maiden? Excellent!
And driving the tour bus as well - in this case piloting Ed Force One.
They played in the US last year.
They had a power outage at Madison Square Garden towards the end of Powerslave.
Yeah; Bruce must have added plenty of hours to his total flight time.
Ed Force One flying high in theaters April 21st.
Dunno if you care for the music, but I’m certain they’ll show video of customizing the Boeing for the journey.
I just saw that on their website, but they don’t plan on even one gig in florida :-( I last saw them on the powerslave tour!
Party on dude.
I only first saw them in 2003 when I was 18, but you’ve missed so much.
The Movie of the Beast! :p
Cool....I’m SO there.
btw-—
Is Bruce Dickinson a pilot?
Yes; he’s a pilot for Astraeus Airlines when he’s not doing anything music-related.
Awesome. The only problem I have is that I would need to sit in a theare with a bunch of idiots to watch it.
SWEET!!! I quit buying Maiden CDs after Fear of the Dark. I loved every one of them until I got No Prayer for the Dying, which I thought was a complete joke.
Are their newer releases any good? I heard Dickenson is back, but found a lack of creative songwriting after Seventh Son of the Seventh Son. Any recommendations?
If you’ve sold some stuff, I’d recommend picking up everything again. Both Bruce and Adrian Smith rejoined the band in 1999. Since 2000, they’ve released 3 studio albums: Brave New World, Dance of Death, and A Matter of Life and Death.
You wouldn’t be with idiots with Iron Maiden on the screen.
I saw them on every tour from Killers to 7th Son. Haven’t seen them since, but the Brave New World record is amazing. There is also a great concert dvd, Maiden in Rio or something like that, shot on that tour. I haven’t heard anything they’ve done since Brave New World though.
Rock In Rio, released in 2001 after the Brave New World tour.
You haven’t heard Dance of Death or A Matter of Life and Death? You’re missing out
Haven’t seen it yet but will - thanks ....
Haven’t seen it yet but will - thanks .... make that I will in April ... I was thinking of another movie ..
Yeah, I hear both are great albums, and one of these days I’ll get em, lol. Yeah, Rock In Rio is awesome. First time I saw Maiden was when they opened for Whitesnake and Priest in either 80 or 81, was on the Killers tour. They played for 45 minutes, and Eddie was just a roadie with a rubber mask running around the stage at the end of the show, lol.
Is this the film that Sam Dunn did? He did Metal: A Headbangers Journey a few years ago...he was in the middle of doing a film on Rush (one has never been done before) and he was offered the Maiden movie but I am not sure if this is the one.
Dunn is now working on the Rush one full time after spending a year on the Maiden project so I might just be answering my own question ;)
Yeah, I think you’re answering it.
Here's a masterful piano tribute to "Flight of Icarus" because I didn't have that picture of the bunny with a pancake on his head.
I wonder what they’ll sound like.

Their recent albums are fantastic. Check out Brave New World (2000); Dance of Death (2003); A Matter of Life and Death (2006).
I think Brave New World and A Matter of Life and Death are the best work they've ever done -- topping their 80's classics such as Powerslave and Somewhere in Time.
