The Iggles will lose the Superbowl. Doesn’t matter who the other team is.

I predict that each and every day in 2009, the sun will rise, and the sun will set. You can take that to the bank.

OTOH. Political predictions are for fools.

That’s a give lol. My husband bought me a 10 inch laptop for Christmas. It’s really cool and fits right in my purse. I tend to push post heavy anyway but this one....sometimes I don’t even have to touch the key. I’ll try to work the bugs out though.

117% of all predictions will be mindless, straight-line extrapolations. After all, 87% of this year’s and 57% of last year’s were.

Statistician Blues
By Todd Snider

They say 3 percent of the people use 5 to 6 percent of their brain
97 percent use 3 percent and the rest goes down the drain
I'll never know which one I am but I'll bet you my last dime
99 percent think with 3 percent 100 percent of the time

64 percent of all the world's statistics are made up right there on the spot
82.4 percent of people believe 'em whether they're accurate statistics or not
I don't know what you believe but I do know there's no doubt
I need another double shot of something 90 proof
I got too much to think about

Too much to think about
Too much to figure out
Stuck between hope and doubt
It's too much to think about

They say 92 percent of everything you learned in school was just bulls**t you'll never need
84 percent of everything you got you bought to satisfy your greed
Because 90 percent of the world's population links possessions to success
Even though 80 percent of the wealthiest 1 percent of the population
Drinks to an alarming excess
More money, more stress

It's too much to think about
Too much to figure out
Stuck between hope and doubt
It's too much to think about
Pick it now

84 percent of all statisticians truly hate their jobs
They say the average bank robber lives within say about 20 miles of the bank that he robs
There's this little bank not far from here I've been watching now for a while
Lately all I can think about's how bad I wanna go out in style

And it's too much to think about
Too much to figure out
Stuck between hope and doubt
It's too much to think about
That's right
It's too much to think about
Amen
It's too much to think about
Mmm hmmm

I did well in 2004, but I totally bungled 2008.

Thanks for finding the thread and for the ping. I was looking for last year’s prediction thread yesterday.

OK...here's mine:

1. WI will set the all time record for snowfall this winter.

2. obamer's first 100 days will quickly deteriorate into "Chicago politics as usual".

3. ms. obamer will continue to grow more ugly day by day

4. The obamer kids will turn out to be of well below averge intelligence, but will be passed anyway.

5. The identity-less republican party will not define itself to any useful purpose for the 2010 elections.

6. the economy in general will improve remarkably despite the best efforts of the mm to destroy it.

7. our brilliant, incredible military troops will continue to serve and protect and defend despite the best efforts of the enemy, our politicians, and the mm to kill them.

8. I will...with the best of luck...hold onto my job for the next year. If I can do that, I should be debt free by the end of 2009.

9. To ensure my continued good luck, I will find a part time job.

and 10. FR will continue to be an informative, raucus, enjoyable, funny, serious and overall incredible website where we can all meet to talk, agree, disagree, cajole, comment and "lurk" to our hearts content.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL FREEPERS!!

google her up and go to the photo page, she's not bad looking, maybe an 8,8.5 on the Saffer Simpson scale.

Despite America’s love of the automobile, pedestrianism in all areas of life will continue to rule the realm.

The so-called scientific consensus on global warming will dissolve and public officials will be left scrambling to explain why they want to spend billions to solve a non-problem.

We will be involved in a big war before the end of the year.
Russia will invade Ukraine
India will be at war with Pakistan.
China will invade Viet Nam
Earthquake will hit Alaska.
Terrorists will hit the USA
Cars will burn in France.
Tories will win in the UK.
Obama will prove to the world he is a fool.

I predict that Steve Martin will be sworn in as a Supreme Court Justice.

...and bluegrass music will surpass all other styles of music in national popularity.

I also predict a new form of currency will be introduced based on the value of banjos.

1) Israel will be forced to sign “Cease Fire”, by the international community because of “Proportionate Measures” were not taken.

2) One day later, Hamas will begin to rocket Israel for months and months with no word from the MSM.

3) Israel will devestate Gaza for a few days.

4) Repeat at step 1

I will keep my new year resolution.

No need to break a 25 year streak.

I could spend the whole day reading those old threads!

Who would have ever thought we would be in the Hell we are in right now. I, for one, will just hope for the best next year!

My one, and only prediction will be that the Vikings will be the underdog team of the year, and get to the Super Bowl, but unfortunately lose out to the Titans.

I have precedent with picking football teams this year! My local high school team went into the playoffs being the underdog every game, yet went on to win the State Championship!

Obama will be a BIG Disappointment to anyone with half a brain, yet have well publicized, high poll numbers.
