ScienceDaily (Dec. 28, 2008) To whom would you rather give money: a needy person in your neighborhood or a needy person in a foreign country? According to new research by Texas A&M University marketing professor Karen Winterich and colleagues, if youre a man, youre more likely to give to the person closest to you that is, the one in your neighborhood if you give at all.
If youre a woman, youre more likely to give and to give equal amounts to both groups.
Winterich, who teaches marketing at Texas A&Ms Mays Business School, says she can predict charitable behavior to different groups by an individual based on just two factors: gender and moral identity. (Moral identity does not measure how moral a person actually is, but rather how important it is to that person to be caring, kind, fair, honest, etc.)

There. Now my findings are as valid and meaningful as hers. And mine are probably more accurate: my accuracy improves the emptier the tumbler gets.
LOL! Good one.
This woman donates locally. The Salvation Army, my Library and my Police, Fire & EMTs.
THOSE are the people that are going to help ME in turn, in my darkest hour.
(Well, most likely not my Librarian, but I do so love to read. For free.) :)
Actually the study proves that women refuse to help out their local economy on a higher scale than men.
Men know that giving money to those in need locally lowers the local crime rate and helps put money into the hands of the local merchants improving the neighborhood and living conditions.
Harmless fun I go often with wad of two doll hair bills thats how i roll

I donated 1 bhat.
Or was it a bat?
