I’m still using XP (SP2). I’ll go with the OS after Vista. No need for Vista here.

(grin!) me too. After XP finishes, I will bite the bullet and go with Linux.

Unix is a REAL operating system, Windows is only a file loader.

I’m still using XP (SP2).

Stay there if you can - I went to SP3 on one of my PC's and had some problems. Eventually I had to rebuild that machine due to something unrelated.

I reapplied SP3 after the rebuild and it hasn't caused anything detrimental yet. I think the previous install with SP2 plus a gazillion hotfixes on top didn't take well to SP3.

I'm using my Fedora box more and more these days...so I'll probably scrap XP altogether fairly soon.

Ditto. I’ll be using XP Pro SP3 until there is something better. I don’t care if MS supports it or not. I’ll still use it.

The next OS will be XP “Classic” . It worked for Coke....

Go with the first service pack version of the OS after Vista.
