THERE is no guerilla fighter in the world as famous as Che Guevara.
The revolutionarys face adorns the T-shirts of wannabe radicals everywhere and 41 years after his death he is still idolised by the Left.
Now Ernesto Guevara, to give him his real name, is getting the big Hollywood movie treatment.
Oscar-winning actor Benicio del Toro plays the Argentinian revolutionary in two films directed by Steven Soderbergh, the man behind Traffic and Oceans Eleven, Twelve and Thirteen.
But while Soderberghs films Che: Part 1 and Che: Part 2 largely follow the predictable path of lauding him as a hero, there is a very different side to the story.
What most of the Guevara T-shirt-wearing brigade do not realise is that he was known to be a brutal military commander who shot his unarmed enemies and even his own fighters in cold blood.
After Guevara helped Fidel Castro to overthrow Cuban military dictator General Batista in 1959, he took on the role of one of the revolutions chief executioners.
Guevara is reported to have been responsible for the deaths of between 180 and thousands of prisoners. While the exact figures might be disputed, there is no doubt about his involvement.
He admitted he did not feel a need for a fair trial for anyone who opposed Castros Cuban revolution.
Guevara wrote: To send men to the firing squad, judicial proof is unnecessary. These procedures are an archaic bourgeois detail.
This is a revolution. And a revolutionary must become a cold killing machine motivated by pure hate.

And just think: obamanation’s HQ contained this person pic like he was a hero.
i don’t get it.
I’ve often wondered why American leftists never wear t-shirts with Lavrenti Beria on them. It must have been the beret.
What’s the name of the studio so I could boycott it?
“What most of the Guevara T-shirt-wearing brigade do not realise is that he was known to be a brutal military commander who shot his unarmed enemies and even his own fighters in cold blood.”
Most self-loathing bitter leftscum (redundant) aspire to this, they’re just too cowardly to do anything so dangerous.
“’This is a revolution. And a revolutionary must become a cold killing machine motivated by pure hate.’”
Yup, that also describes the “heart” of most self-loathing bitter libscum.

All communists are evil and have no good intentions for free-loving people. They are the enemy and should be treated as such. Period.
Man, they are laying it on thick. "He was motivated by LOVE" (drip drip drip of the bleeding heart). Truly grotesque.
the left gives “guerilla” a bad name.
all leftists are motivated by hate! That’s what keeps them going when reason and sanity have departed.
What really annoys me is when conservatives dismiss them as harmless flower children. They are as dangerous as outhouse rats and only a fool forgets that.
This guy was really human scum....but the “useful idiots” sure make an icon out of him....just shows the stupidity of the left...
i heard ,just a rumour the next movie will be about some hero called Adolf Schickelgruber..
Go visit any college campus and you’ll see plenty of Che posters hanging in the windows - on the doorways.
Very sad. Do these kids really know what this man has done?
They seem to think it’s some sort of fashion statement.
Gotta wonder who resurrected this killer and marketed him as a hero to teens. Someone’s behind this.
