In Slash's defense, I thought he was competent in Velvet Revolver. The song "Fall to Pieces" rocks in the utmost.
Have not stolen Chinese Democracy off the interwebz yet, looking forward to it, though.

The entire album can be listened to
here legally.

Jeez. Does everyone who doesn’t like something you like have to be labeled as a ‘hater’?
Thanks for reminding me to actually get around to listening to this...good music for the car ride home. (I hope anyway)

Totally different music business than in GNR’s heyday, don’t know if the disc will sell like AC/DC, Metallica, Seether, Theory, or even Buckcherry’s newest. Who knows? Business is different than even a year ago.
BTW, loved it when the Offspring wanted to name their upcoming disc “DemoCRAZY (You Snooze You Lose)” back in ‘03. Funny guys.
Good luck to Mr. Rose and his new band.

It depends if you add years to their age for all the drugs they used. ;)

Actually, Chinese Democracy isn’t just a good album, it’s a GREAT album. Sure it took 17 years, and cost upwards of 13 million dollars....what of it?
Best Tracks in my (not so humble industry) opinion?
1. If the World
2. Better
3. Riad n’ the Bedouins
4. There Was a Time
5. This I Love

I’m a hater.
Actually, I can’t think of anything that sucks as bad as this record. I was trying for a very long time.
Maybe if I blew 15 years and untold millions I would eventually come up with a review that explains how bad this record sucks.

I'm not a hater but when I heard the new GNR song I started thinking it sound familiar. Where did I hear this before? Then it came to me, in a flash! And I had to laugh. Watch it and ignore the title because you will hear similarities. As all great metal bands will tell you, when they first watched Spinal Tap they thought it was a documentary about them.
Possible inspiration for "This I Love" VS.
GNR's "This I Love"
That's the genius of satire; it is so close to the truth it scares you silly in nervous laughter.
