I used to live in the SF Bay Area. Almost every year there were rains that brought out a crop of mushrooms in the hills above the Berkeley/Oakland line.

The local TV stations would broadcast warnings around the clock and the following week the news would always be about the people who killed themselves eating the mushrooms.

I think we should air stories about 72 virgins waiting for those who eat the suckers.
