I don’t know if you have any children there pal, but I do not think you’d care to have your kid seduced by a 30 something pervert who prays upon innocent children.
Unless of course you support this kind of sick twisted illegal behavior.

I was speaking from a legal technicality position. There are different charges if the kid is under 14 than if they are under 19. At last in California. Creepy?

Well that’s certainly one way to interpret my post. Let me ask you, what are the chances that someone here would post a reply supporing sex between an adult and a person under 18 which is against the law. But you took the worst inference. see my 27.

Thank you. I was speaking from a legal position. There are different charges for have sex with a 15 year old than with someone under the age of 14.

“There are different charges for have sex with a 15 year old than with someone under the age of 14.”

I didn’t realize that. I know when we get notices about released offenders they are assigned different levels according to how dangerous they are.
Must be the younger the victim is - the higher their danger level?

And then the laws are different according to the state.
Gets very confusing.

"...High school students are usually 14 and over. That would not make the teacher a pedophile..."

Maybe the comment was creepy to you, but it is factually correct. A pedophile is attracted to PREpubescent children. A person who is attracted to POSTpubescent children is termed an EPEBOPHILE.

I used to watch “To Catch a Predator”.

You mean, "To Catch and Release a Predator"?

These guys have to be driven, and blinded, by demons; or else under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Good, should make them easy pickings when private groups of non-releasers find them and administer true justice.

Another proud card-carrying member of the NEA. When is that union going to do something about this plague that seems endemic within their ranks? Film definitely not at eleven.

It’s amazing that people today do not think a 34 year old teacher going after teenagers is not creepy.

What was your intention letting others know you thought it was good reading. What's good about it?

Most states distinguish between sex with a minor and sex with a child under a certain age. Consider a 19 year old having sex with a 17 year old. Most states differentiate that from having sex with a prepubescent child. And as far as I recall, the penalties are harsher for the latter. And rightly so, IMO.

There is also a tradition from not to long ago that girls who have gone through puberty can marry. That, when people died a lot earlier. Or you're out on the frontier and no e-harmony.com

Regarding offender level, I would think age of victim would be one consideration. Another would be violence, physically controlling the victim, pattern in locations, and perhaps a few more.

My wife was stalked by one of her ex-caseload. She began concealed carrying in her college classroom after he showed up at the door of the classroom one day.

When she investigated, the guy, who was a child mollester, was living a block from a school against his parole conditions. They snatched him up to serve out his full sentence.
