Remember to good ole days when you could enjoy a movie without "reading between the lines" or having to worry about political overtones? My concerns regarding this topic are not so much the content in Disneys newest animated feature Bolt, but rather the reaction of the critics. Certainly we all have our own taste, opinions and (with a grateful nod to our founding fathers) the freedom to express. It seems I wonder more often these days if the authors work is objective truth or a piece written to influence opinion, perspective and power.
In the movie Bolt, both the left and right coast lifestyles are mildly tweaked as exemplified by the stereotypical behavior of the local pigeons. Conversely, the behavior of the pigeons in the rural Midwest can be viewed as more complimentary. In fact, the ultimate salvation for the main characters lies in the rural Midwest.
Consider this traditional vs. liberal point of view as outlined above in reading and comparing the reviews from The Christian Post and NPR.

My conclusion: Open eyes, apply grain of salt. It may be a bit painful, but perhaps you can better interpret reality through your tears.
Sounds like a cute movie. The Rotten Tomatoes reviews are mostly positive.

I don’t see the politics in the reviews. What am I missing?
Full disclosure. We saw the movie in 3D Friday night. We’re going again next Saturday. We really liked the movie, this was helped by the fact we know the guy who plays the hamster. He is as nice a guy as you can ever hope to meet.
This is just a very good movie, IMHO, better than Wall-E without all the political garbage.
Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston had a charity grand opening in Ocala, where he has a big estate. He is generous and friendly to the locals, who naturally like him a lot.
