I've been neglecting my blog, I admit it, but now that I think I finally have a layout that I like, perhaps I will more likely to post.
I have pictures from Halloween, my trip to NYC, and other musings, however, right now, I am still fixated on the fact that my fellow Californians passed Proposition 8, thereby banning gay marraige. California is supposed to be one of the more liberal states in the Union, yet here we are, a bunch of biggots.
That's honestly how I feel. There isn't any acceptable form of bigotry in today's day, unless you hate homosexuals! People with "Yes on 8" signs in their yard might as well have a sign that reads, "Hi - I'm a bigot! Yes on 8!"
In general my view on life is ... if it doesn't affect you or harm anyone else, then WHY DO YOU CARE??? You may not want to marry a member of the same sex, so don't(!), but why does it matter if your neighbor Jim does? It's not harming you, and the signifigance of your marriage isn't "cheapened" in any way. You took vows - so honor them and then the sanctity of marriage will remain so in your home. People spend so much time worrying about what other people are doing and labeling them "sinners" instead of focusing on themselves.
I believe this is an issue of civil rights because I believe that homosexuals don't have a choice - it's in their genetics. And the last time I checked, we don't leave issues of civil rights up to popular vote. It is my true hope that the legal system will overturn the vote and gay people can get married, have babies, throw parties, celebrate holidays ... and the world will be a better, more tolerant, place because of it.

Not only are they ‘bigots’, but they are also proving themselves to be intolerant thugs.
People with "Yes on 8" signs in their yard might as well have a sign that reads, "Hi - I'm a bigot! Yes on 8!"Many people in my old neighborhood in the west side of Long Beach had "Yes on 8" sign. This map shows Prop. 8 won in my old neighborhood. No Republican presidential nominee has won there since 1984.
Ezekiel 3:17-19 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
Every soul is precious. To not warn the lost, and to lie to someone by telling them that sin is to be 'celebrated' and not repented - is exceedingly cruel.
Matthew 13:41-42 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Marriage is the institution by which society reproduces itself. We can see all around us the disaster brought by bearing children out-of-wedlock. That isn't the way to reproduce society.
It won't do to say that letting sodomites "marry" doesn't affect all other marriages. Once marriage is redefined, all marriages are redefined. They are then no longer for continuing society, but solely for sexual gratification. There is then no reason for society to grant special privileges to married couples (tax benefits, can't be forced to testify against each other, and on and on).
The people of State of California voted on an initiative that was approved by the Attorney General of the State. The initiative was completely legal, done in compliance with Article 18, Section 3 of the Constitution of the State of California. The people have spoken - for a second time on this issue. dbz77, if you want to call that bigotry go for it. I call it democracy.
“I believe that homosexuals don’t have a choice - it’s in their genetics.”
You’re being an ideological and moral bully and bigot when you demand special extra rights for behavior that you choose to indulge in. We’re staying out of your bedroom, you or some of your friends at least are trying to thrust your bedroom practices in everyone’s face.
If it were a genetic issue, animals would more commonly act the same way as you advocate—but they don’t, and thus they mate, perpetuate and survive. Your lifestyle is artificial and only with artificial interventions can you get a placebo-like pseudo-offspring as a symbol that you ‘reproduce.’
That is sad.
If you want to know how to resolve whether the issue is indeed genetic, here you go:
http://www.exodus-international.org/
If it’s genetic, nobody would leave the lifestyle but tens of thousands are DOCUMENTED to have been freed from being overwhelmed by that temptation.
I wish you true happiness.
bttt
The Dalai Lama is also a bigot.
Well, frankly, I have no delusions that my caring will cause you to modify your behavior. So, I guess I don't care what you do in your private life. What I do care about is your unfortunate tendency to aggressively coerce recognition and acceptance of your chosen lifestyle. What I do care about is the fact that you will attempt to force my church to accept behavior that is completely antithetical to the beliefs we hold. What I care about is your obvious desire to subvert my religious beliefs.
If you consider yourself to be of a particular religion except for the fact you are gay, then just go ahead and start your own church where gay relationships are acceptable. Virtually all of the work will already have been done for you.
There are two components to marriage, a legal contract between you and your spouse and the state, and a covenant between the two of you and God. For the first, there isn't anything to stop you. Form a LLC with your spouse including some specifics about property and inheritance and you more or less have it covered. Go to your new church and hold a ceremony according to your "corrected" beliefs. But don't try to coerce my church into recognizing your marriage.
That's why I care.
The state should not be in the marriage business, anyway. The co-mingling of the religious and legal elements of marriage is an artifact from the monolithic church of Rome, which was above even Kings in its earthly power. Let the state enforce the legal contracts, and let the churches handle the religious aspects. And if you are an atheist the religious component of marriage shouldn't matter to you. Try exercising your rights instead of trying to infringe ours.
It's simply not.
It's one man, one woman.
You'll notice, of course, that no one is forcing all-female schools to shut down, nor all-female gyms.
No one is looking for equality. They already have that through the court system and various legal documents. What they are looking for is for the world to see NO DIFFERENCE between marriage and gay hookups.
And to that I say stick it in your ***.
It isn't? Are you sure? Ooops!
Please listen carefully, Blogger.
You have two sides to this Proposition. One side wants marriage to be between a man and a woman, exclusively. Tradition and religion have been this way for thousands of years.
The other side wants two people of the same sex to be able to get married. This is new, historically, but pop culture has accepted it and many people want this for themselves or their loved ones.
That is the point. There are TWO groups of people who feel differently about this issue. Can you stand that fact?
It was held up to a vote, in a state that favors liberals, during a Presidential election that also favored liberals. The vote was fair and square. The first group won.
The second group is incensed and calling the first group horrible names, like bigots.
You tell me which side is less kind, decent, and mature.
huh?
This one needs an education (cannot post links from PDA)
Because the country doesn’t want to legitimize a mental disorder as a normal lifestyle choice. We don’t want predators, whether they be the trusted uncle, little league coach, priest, or boy scout leader to molest children under the guise that it’s “normal”. It’s not normal.
These predators prey on lonely, troubled and confused kids who don’t know anything about sexuality and can be swayed due to pressure. This is the danger of calling their abnormal sexual behavior normal. It legitimizes experimentation in children who know nothing about sex, some are just starved for any adult attention and will go along with being molested.
Homosexuality is a mental disorder triggered in early childhood development, there is no gay gene, there may be a predilection but as of now there is no proof that anyone is “born gay”. Predilection does not mean one is destined to be gay, many of us may have the predilection to be a serial killer, but lack the developmental traumas and triggers that bring out the behavior. “Normalize” homosexuality and you open the door for predators, who can take adolescents with NO predilection towards homosexuality and bring them into the lifestyle with peer pressure, attention and acceptance.
Everything I said will stand up to scrutiny and science, this may be one of the few message boards on the internet where I won’t be banned for saying it.
Suck on the truth homo activists.
Will the Homos boycott California? NO.
Not only that, but Prop 8 actually won buy a slight margin (less than a percent) in LOS ANGELES COUNTY. If you look at a map of the area that voted “yes” is was the eastern part of the county from East La through to the County Line, as well as South Central LA and parts of the San Fernando Valley that were a little, uh, ethnic (IE Van Nuys). It lost in the “white” parts of LA County (Westwood, Beverly Hills, Sherman Oaks, etc.).
It doesn’t appear the Original Poster is agreeing with the bloggers conclusion unless I’m missing something, not troll alert worthy.
You may want to check the "revised" APA statement regarding "gay gene" for starters.
Then check the Center for Disease Control, specifically the STD statistics in the MSM (men having sex w/ men) category.
The blog is from some ditzy California chick who thinks the world is fascinated by her weekend trips to Macy’s and strolls though town.
I’ll get to it tomorrow unless someone else does first!
I think his 1st and 4th posts clarified his position, saying that if CA is a “bigot” state then Jesus, et. al would be considered “bigots” by the blogger.
The author wrote:
I believe that homosexuals don't have a choice - it's in their genetics. Then the author is ignorant of the science of homosexuality, and that's okay because the author isn't alone due to the plethora of misinformation on the subject.
Many believe homosexuals are born with their same-sex attraction and for decades, gays have claimed to be born that way. The problem is, science disagrees, vehemently.
Science has always been hostile to the born that way theory. What science has told us for decades is that environment is causal. What that means is environment is a key factor in how our sexuality develops.

We’ve also infiltrated the little moonbats blog with some comments, I’m sure she’ll be shocked that “bigots” are posting on her little blog. lol
I want to marry my cat. We should be able to marry because we’re not hurting anybody. I have felt this attraction to cats since I was a kid, my therapist says I was born that way.
It’s against my civil rights, and also animal rights, not to let me marry my cat. I want my cat covered on my health insurance and listed as beneficiary of my 401k. I want to be able to check into a hotel with my cat without having to feel embarrassed. Therefore we are entitled to be civilly married.
Great stuff there. I learned about this subject from an old time Ivy league Park Avenue psychiatrist friend (RIP) who treated and converted homosexuals as well as some really bizarre sexual deviants.
What a tragedy that this information is suppressed from people, there will never be an honest discussion on the subject in the U.S. Pravda.
With a screen name like baa I almost believe you ; )
Thanks for the ping.
Very well said.
Oh, but you're mistaken. Ever see treatment of a practicing Christian in San Francisco?

Every precinct in my old neighborhood voted for Prop. 8.
Weve also infiltrated the little moonbats blog with some comments, Im sure shell be shocked that bigots are posting on her little blog. lolThe queers and their sympathizers have yet to get over the bitch-slapping they got November 4th.
Weve also infiltrated the little moonbats blog with some comments, Im sure shell be shocked that bigots are posting on her little blog. lolTo quote a "bigot", "But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female." Do any of the Muslim FREEpers have similar quotes from that "bigot" Mohammed?
Many believe homosexuals are born with their same-sex attraction and for decades, gays have claimed to be born that way. The problem is, science disagrees, vehemently.Even if they were born that way, that does not mean that they should have homosexual relations, just like if people were born greedy, that does not mean that they should steal.
I think some gays are probably wired that way — hormonal imbalances in the womb or something — while for others it’s a learned thing or a choice. It doesn’t matter one way or the other, though, since society experiences gayness strictly as a behavior. This is important because society has a right to regulate behavior (but not biology, which is why we reject laws based on race).
For instance it’s reasonable for society to withhold driver’s licenses from blind people regardless of whether they were born blind or not. The issue is how they drive. Same deal with marriage: it’s not whether you were born gay or not, it’s that you can’t create children and raise them with a mom and a dad.
Indeed, the politics of homosexuality will always attempt to suppress an honest discussion on the subject.
What they want is for the laws to change. This impacts insurace rates, payouts from our taxes, etc. Further, marriage is a sacrament that predates our beloved government by thousands of years. Government has no right to redefine religious insitutions. These are the ways that we are all impacted.
Personally, if gays wanted to get government OUT of the business of treating married people differently than single people, I'd be with them 100%. However, since the system is the way it is, and they want to change it, then acting in the system the way it is, I have to oppose them (despite the simple strength of their Equal Protection argument).
As I see it, that's a different discussion. There are various arguments against homosexual behavior, some of which are:

Good idea... I'll try to get that done later today and perhaps add some additional links and info.
Um... I guess you didn’t notice that the person who posted this, dbz77, is not the person who wrote the blog. I believe dbz is trying to expose the deficient mentality of the blogger, “Dre.”
They will excuse the moonbats who harassed that old woman, just like the media gave Bill Ayers a tongue bath, our media is twisted beyond belief.
If she thinks CA is the “bigot” state and it’s one of the most liberal states in the country, can you imagine what she thinks of the rest of the country? Like the memo from the democrat party telling people campaigning for Obama at a NASCAR event to “get their shots up to date”.
Why is it we are called bigots because we vote yes on 8.?
I personally do not care what anyone does in their bedrooms I don’t want to know. What I do object to is bringing the lifestyle to the school kids in elementary grades, the No on 8 crowd said it was a myth, but that is not a fact. We already have the subject taught, there are books on the subject for young children and the discussions are there. I figure the yes on 8 may quell some of that.
By the way, I don’t think young children should be taught about mommy and daddy sex either.
It is also offensive to compare the controversy of gay marriage to the Black struggle for equality. That is an absurdity in my view.
