She didn’t support Obama.

She only said she’d be glad to now get behind him to help the country.

Elizabeth campaigned with Palin.

How is it “stunning” that someone would support the President Of The United States? Just because the Bush haters were deranged barking moonbats for 8 years?

It might surprise the liberals who trashed Bush for eight years, and questioned the legitimacy of his election, but there are some people out there who respect the outcome of elections and will be supportive of the new president as he takes office. I suspect that Elizabeth is one of those people. She’s still conservative and will speak out on issues as she sees fit, but, she understands that the people have spoken and the election campaign is over.

Whereas some of the liberal/radical types out there never ever gave Bush any respect for actually having been elected.

She wished him well. Just a case of jouranlist twisting of words.

Shocking. I’ve never seen that before.

In order to accept Obama one must first overlook all the ACORN FRAUD and illegal campaign contributions that bought the election for Obama, the illegitimate president.

this is what makes me proud to be a conservative yet infuriates me at the same time. Elisabeth takes the high road here which shows class.

I highly doubt if the situation was reversed Joy Behar
would have done the same. Frankly it makes my head spin to think what would be spewing forth from the mouths of liberals had McCain won this election.

The Liberal Press immediately went on a tour of Europe telling their counterparts how stupid George Bush was.

Right, what else is she supposed to say? In the public eye like that she could not say she did not support him now that he is elected. She would be labeled a racist and a media circus would ensue. Unlike the way Bush was treated, the media will not stand for open hostilities toward the one.......yet.

I respect the office of the President of the United States.

I will continue to voice my objection to the policies that Obama may or may not put into place, but I will respect his position as our elected leader.

One thing to look forward to is that Conservatives are NOT going to act like the haters the Liberals have been for the last eight years. The “I hate Bush” support groups, threats to move to foreign countries (which unfortunately were not honored), and the constant caterwauling was painful for anyone who loves this country. I have a friend with one of her relatives on a suicide watch after the last election.

Conservatives will throw their support behind not Obama but behind the president. His downfall will be from the left, when they realize he’s not going to pay their gas bill and mortgage.

I am also rooting for Obama to succeed at leading America forward. I am convinced he will fail but I don’t wish that on us.

In the entertainment industry their will be a lot of public conversions to the dark side, as they know all to well their careers would end if they allowed even a hint of conservativeness to show. They don't have the luxury we have of working for the Conservative cause in the shadows.

Tyranny goes after highly visible patriots first - to make an example out of them.

;-)

Let's watch them. For years
they've blamed Bush for everything.
Now they will find ways

to report news and
blame Obama for nothing.
It's like...modern art.

Bull.

Evidently, the view of the dyspeptic brigade here on FR is that we are to remain sour, hateful, bitter gripers.

I hate it as bad as anyone that Obama won...., but he won, and we need to support him when we can, and resist him when we should.

I will speak out against raising taxes, income redistributionism, regulatory burdens, PC idiocy, suppression of speech, and loss of freedoms....., (sigh) and yes, I know they are coming. You don’t need to feel compelled to breathlessly announce “well, you will GET them, buddy!” I know that.

Have a nice tall glass of Metamucil and send a picture of your grandkids to someone.

Hasselback is simply showing some class. Try it. New experiences are good for you.

we owe it to the Democrats to show their president the exact same kind of respect and loyalty that they have shown our recent Republican president.
