Seems as though as rich as he is, he could hire a modestly employed fan or a service to accept and read all of his fan mail at a modest cost.
Simple overhead costs for this kind of service seems fair for a relationship built on fans and celebrity.
It is a business deduction that he can well afford.
A lot of drummers are illiterate and try to hide it. I’m just sayin...
Maybe he doesn’t want to “spread his wealth”.........

The Beatles with Pete Best would still be around and rocking, like the Rolling Stones and the Pretty Things (the latter of whom, you’d better check out, seriously!)
Johnny Ramone (Republican) on the other hand, was an autograph collector himself (baseball mostly I think, he also collected movie posters). He’d oblige fans and even those who were only obtaining autographs to sell.
Johnny was smart enough to know that not everyone who wanted his autograph would be able to obtain one in person and so if someone was going to pay money on the open market for one, he wanted there to be some authentic ones out there.
I liked CAVEMAN !! Especially a young Barbara Bach !!!!
The Beatles broke up because John and Paul (and Yoko).
Ringo left the band during The White Album (he did manage to get 2 songs on there because it was a double album but other than that, everyone was encouraged to “cut loose” and “experiment” except him). Must have been a rotten feeling to have to endure the decision to let Revolution 9 go ON there (and ALMOST Mary Jane Had A Pain At The Party) and being told that NOPE, there’s no room for you to do something else too.
I was going to wait for someone else to say it first, but I thought Caveman was hilarious.
This is pathetic. Ringo is biting the hand that feeds him. I understand that John Lennon was very gracious with autographs, and even gave one to his killer earlier on the day he was murdered.
I remember liking it as a kid.
However, I saw it a couple of years ago and it was the unfunny movie that wouldn't end.
