It turns out that Katie's Restaurant closed down fifteen years ago. Talk radio host Curtis Sliwa of WABC dug this information up. He also got puzzled reactions from Wilmington Home Depots asking if anyone had ever sighted Biden.

When he said that last night I thought there’s no way he goes to anyplace named Katie’s and I just laughed at the thought of him in a Home Depot. Maybe Palin’s husband or even Palin - they made $190K last year - have set foot in a Home Depot. But not the multimillionaire from Delaware. Not ever.
Can you imagine if Palin gave details of where she hangs out in Alaska? The AP and NYT would be digging in their dumpsters and asking employees details about the incident.

Oh, yeah, and how can a guy and gal (his wife) who make more than a quarter million a year only manage to donate $883 to charities.
