Guess what I just saw at the supermarket checkout magazine stand...
supermarket in the rural mountainous south

The whole stack of OPrah magazines had been turned around, cover side in. Of course, no US magazines were anywhere to be seen.

Every time I go into “Borders”, “B & N”, or any book store with “The Audacity...” book greeting you on the way in, I turn them around. Did the same with the Bill Clinton and Hillary books. It’s fun!!

I have never purchased an “O” magazine and now even if it was free I would pass right by or throw it in the trash. I have been known to turn some mags around that try to trash someone I admire.

I just came back from CVS (drugstore).

No Us magazines. I don’t know if it was deliberate or not, but someone had placed a package of Depends in the empty Us rack.

I also routinely turn around magazines which I consider inappropriate for little eyes. I started this when my kids were young, and continue today.

It’s amazing how many people smile when I do this.

I perused one once, a blowsy imitation of Martha Stewart Living. MSL remains my favorite domestic lifestyle magazine. Her politics are dumb, but her magazine is always excellent.

Had some things to pick up at Wal-Mart last night, and ahead of me in line a woman was pointing at the us magazine displayed there and was quite disgusted. She had enough manners to keep her voice down and I couldn’t really hear what she was saying to her husband, but she was NOT singing the magazine’s praises.

Granted, this is Eastern Washington, but I really think that we need to consider the possibility that we may need to write US Magazine a big fat thank-you note come January...JFK

You know, one time hubby kids and me made a trip to Mexico. We spent a couple of days in a little town, went out walking the main street, etc. We passed by one of ‘those’ nightclubs, where people were holding ‘Preview of Coming Attraction’ type signs. When they saw us coming down the street, they turned the signs towards themselves so our kids wouldn’t see them.

I’ve never forgotten that, and it’s very telling that people in a [basically] third world country had more sense of decency than our television programmers and magazine publishers.

When I see those Democrat books I open one up to see what it says. But my eyes aren’t too good anymore so I have to hold the book close to my face. Usually, when I read the crazy lefty lies I can’t help but snort in laughter. That causes a huge wad of snot to hit the page. In embarrassment, I shut the book and put it back.

Several great events recently to lighten the heart of a formerly discouraged old warrior:

- Obama selected another dumb ass to run with him.
- Sarah Palin arrived.
- The country decided to love and welcome Palin.
- Many, like myself, decide to hold their nose and vote for McCain.
- Oprah “Jumped the Shark” and insulted her majority white women audience.
- Ms. Kelly of FOX news eviscerated Us Magazine Senior Editor, Live on TV.
- McCain did not say “My Friends” during his speech.
- Obama’s “magic” is wearing thin....and ringing false.
- Obama pushed off the front page and TV by Palin.
- Palin has sucked the oxygen out of the air - Leftists collapsing everywhere.
- Left disintegrates into panic, and start throwing their turds at everyone!
- The “splatter” boomerangs and covers them....the public is repulsed by their dishonorable reaction to Ms. Palin..
- Obama was FORCED to admit the Surge succeeded in Iraq.
- The Taliban are racing to their death in the great “Shit Magnet” of Afghanistan.
- Americans finally had enough of being blackmailed by the Oil Sheiks and Communists - and DEMAND DRILLING.
- Even the thick headed Leftists in control of Congress HEARD THEM.

It's been a fine week!

This Weeks Best Men on the Job -- were Women!

To make a long story short, US magazine had a cover that was deceitful and outrageously unfair to Sarah Palin and her family. Oprah won't invite Palin to her show.

Not that I want to see Palin there, but this is an opportunity to drive home the notion that the media is off its rocker with hating Palin. Obama sure got the invites.

You’re right....
On my second listening — I heard them.... and my teeth curled.

I guess I was just not paying enough attention to McCain - since I’ve never been much of a McCain supporter...

I still haven’t forgiven him for defending Kerry against the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth and bad mouthing the SBVFT..
Then there was McCain jumping the shark in his drive to give Amnesty for Illegal Aliens.......
