Judge Jesse (Ventura) may be in the future (Major Barf Alert!)
Minneapolis StarTribune (aka The Red Star) ^ | 8/19/08 | Don Davis - Staff Reporter

Posted on 08/19/2008 6:41:23 AM PDT by MplsSteve

Jesse Ventura might become a judge.

Not a real judge, just a television version of one.

The publication TV Week reports that Ventura is close to signing a deal to host a television court show to debut in a year.

A Twentieth Television spokesman would not talk about negotiations between his company and the former Independence Party Minnesota governor.

However, an official for the Katz Television Group told TV Week that Ventura's history as a navy frogman and a talk-show host "might have the star power to distinguish himself from the welter of court shows."

"Jesse is a bigger-than-life personality, and there is always an advantage of having a brand name like his attached to a show," Carroll told the publication. "That personality could especially work well in the court genre, where he could break through in a crowded field. Needless to say, it would be hard to confuse him with the other judges."

I can't even begin to tell you how incredibly sick I am of Jesse "The A++wipe" Ventura's ridiculous self-promotion. I really wish he would go far far away.

Comments or opinions - anyone?

Be an improvement over what Minneapolis has elected for the last 40 years.

If “troofer” means someone who thinks we blew up the towers, then yes. If “troofer” means someone who digs wearing feathered boas, he’s got that covered too.

When I heard him say that during a TV interview a few months ago, I thought to m’self, “Gads, this man is reeeeeeally off his nut.” At least Willie Nelson can use pot smoking as an excuse...

I wish that inflated windbag would go far far away, say to the Baja and take Stuart Smalley/Al Franken with him.

Jesse had a brief bout of sanity lasting from six months before the MN gubernatorial election through about five months afterward. He actually talked about cutting state government, reducing taxes (the sales tax rebate checks) and other conservative nostrums.
Then, it was like the penny in the fuse box; his brain want into a sort of freeze dry and he adopted Light Rail as his "signature" project. I quit listening to him when he said state employees had nothing to fear from him.

I would be a good thing for the French to learn how to cook America style food. I suggest a cooking in France for the French with Jesse as a star. He could use Arnold as a side kick.

Yeah, I wouldn’t have cracked on him about the feathered boas if he woulda just stuck to sanity. He coulda been a half-way decent spokesman for classicly liberal thinking to the pop mainstream, but now he’s just a goof.

Jeese Ventura - TV Judge!! Please do it, so I can have ANOTHER reason NOT to watch TV. (I only watch CSI, NCIS, Numb3rs, Without A Trace, and the Sunday Fox shows (Simpsons, King of the Hill, Family Guy, American Dad) and some of the old shows on Nick and Hallmark, along with sports - eventhough tonight ESPN is promoting Obama on E:60).

I am sick of CSI...Yuk! I loved it at first. I can’t believe you don’t watch Cold Case and Law and Order (all three). They are outstanding shows. House sucks now with all the new people on there. CSI just got old for me...I was one of those must watch weekly folks, but just got sick of it after about Season 4.

SHEESH, you watch a lot of TV! (haha). For me, it’s Simpsons, Family Guy, MLB and NFL, news, and that’s it.

No matter his personality, the guy is a liberal jerk and I wouldn’t watch him wrestle, talk or judge.

Wasn't he a professional wrestler once? Wasn't THAT what made him famous? So why would they not be boasting of that aspect of his "accomplishments"?
