Well fellow Freepers, I have finally been caught. After reading a few insipid chapters at the library, I posted a well-deserved 1-star rating. Pelosi's whole book can be summed up in: "me me me me me me, look what I did, it's Bush's fault, and Capitalism sucks!".
Anyways, I thought I would confess my "thought crime" (and encourage you to post your review of her book) on www. Amazon.com customer comment section.

The DU’ers and KOS’ers do the same thing with Ann Coulter books. I actually have given positive ratings to negative reviews because I can tell when a leftist goes ballistic over a book, I will probably like it.
I love the review by the guy who didn’t even buy it. He read it at the library. I he’s gotta be one of us.

Good for you for at least reading some of it. I doubt that most people in the 5-star/1-star wars over controversial topics or authors read more than the title.
That's the only way to keep the publisher and Pelosi from getting a windfall profit from the book.

The curious thing here (I was amongst the folks rating it 1-star, so I can talk on the topic)....there were probably only four “actual” readers of the book...amongst the 101 when I wrote my comment....those four had a four and five star rating...and the rest of us...gave her the 1-star rating, with poor commentary.
I’m thinking that Amazon may have to take some type of change to fix upcoming books...because we now know how to dismantle a book review. If its like the Wiki crowd....an editor will go in and blast comments....and just leave a dozen of their choices around. Wiki is now considered absolutely unreliable....and in a year....Amazon reviews will be the same way.

It probably doesn’t help that whenever Sean Hannity talks about the book on his show, he compares it to the novel “Watching Paint Dry.”

Nobody is buying Pelosis’ book for the same reason that left-wing radio fails everytime it’s tried. No one wants to be whined at about how horrible, greedy, racist and bigoted America is. Especially not by someone that is supposed to be at or near the top of the heap in the left side of one of the two pre-approved political partys.
Was there a chapter describing her work? How many face lifts?
Also, did she own up to the abortions she’s had? I just wonder how many? I heard her life had been endangered by pregnancies.

I doubt it. But I haven’t read the book and I won’t be. Life is too short and there are so many good and great books left to be read, so I’m not inclined to waste any time on Pelosi’s book. Even a soundbite of her makes my skin crawl.
