Stop sending me stuff.
It's because of your "maverick" behavior that we are in the condition we are in. You stabbed a great President in the back on numerous occassions. You, and the gang of 14 rendered our congressional majority into a bunch of eunuchs, singing soprano for the media and the beltway crowd.
I'll probably be forced to vote for you, given the alternatives, however, just barely and only because you may not totally screw us on judges.
Meanwhile, leave me alone.
YOU might vote for McLame, but I sure as hell won’t.
Maybe one other vanity in five years, but, I keep getting these emails from McInsane, like we’re big buds now and I want him to get the message. Anybody else feel this way ?
Amen
Yeah, well, I just know that not to vote for him is, objectively, a vote for Soros and Marxism and a clean sweep with judges.
The Gang of 14 was a good thing, it got most of the president’s nominees confirmed, which is a lot better than none, and it preserved the filibuster for judicial nominees, which Republicans may very well be quite thankful for starting in about 6 months.
Actually, something Republicans will DEFINITELY be thankful for if idiots like you get your way...
Agree.
I got a few months to decide.
"I just know that not to vote for him is, objectively, a vote for Soros and Marxism and a clean sweep with judges."No it isn't. Besides, a vote FOR McLame isn't much different than that especially with "the judges."
-— YOU might vote for McLame, but I sure as hell wont. -—
I think old rev. Huckabee is what split the vote. He was going to get the Christian right vote just because he’s got “rev.” before his name. He had about zero chance of winning.
This allowed McCain to sneak in.
If the party was focused on McCain vs Mitt, McCain wouldn’t be the nominee.
If the party was focused on Fred Thompson vs. McCain, McCain wouldn’t be the nominee.
If the party was focused on Duncan Hunter vs. McCain, McCain wouldn’t be the nominee.
If the party was focused on Rudy Giuliani vs. McCain, McCain wouldn’t be the nominee.
I believe everyone of these guys would have won a head-to-head challenge vs. McCain.
In the end, we got screwed.
You really believe that, if the 'Pubbies muster the courage to mount a judicial filibuster, Harry Reid & Co. won't immediately exercise the "nuclear option"?
All the Gang of 14 preserved was McCain's ego.
John...is that you ???
What's with the ad hominem ? Maybe I'm wrong on gang of fourteen, but in order for that to be true it would require a stone factory be installed in the republican cloak room, cuz, in my observation, the only ones who block judges are the dims. Our guys are too busy trying to be popular to be effective.
But,then, I may very well be an idiot.
I'll keep monitoring Barr from a distance while I wait-and-see who McCain picks as his VP before making my final decision. So help me if it's Lieberman or Michael Bloomberg....
The republican party should strip these leftist no-hoper-states-for-the-republicans of all their delegates, and let red states and states that the republican party COULD win pick the nominee.
What are they going to do? Keep voting democrat?
You had me at “Stop sending me stuff”.
I finally wrote back to them asking them to cease & desist. They stepped it up - even sending me dun notices for failing to “renew my membership”.
I have a collection of metal knock-out plates that weigh nearly a half-pound apiece. they neatly fit into their postage-paid return envelopes. I started sending them back as my “contribution”. I have no idea what the final postage costs but I figure as long as they can afford to send me the envelopes the least I can do is “recycle”...;’}
I’m so sorry that you will be voting for Obama.
All you guys saying “I’ll never vote for McCain” are the same people who let Bill Clinton win two terms in office, and Jimmy Carter one. Obama would be like Carter × Clinton.
We just cannot afford that right now.
So when I see someone like you come along an inciting that kind of stuff here, I take it as a traitorous threat to my country. Many of us take this election and its consequences pretty seriously. Perhaps it’s about time you did too.
I don’t care if you think McCain has been an imperfect Republican. He has a true love for his country and will not oversee the collapse of Iraq or the destruction of Israel. Obama is salivating at the prospect of both.
And I’m sorry you are an idiot who wills ell out at the slightest provocation.
ahem....we actually agree, if you read the part where “I’ll probably be forced to vote for you”.....doesn’t mean I have to like it, or get messages from him as if he actually gave a rip about what conservatives think.
I guess you want Obama appointing 3 pro-abortion judges to the SCOTUS?
We are one justice away from a solid conservative majority that can reassert the Constitution. Do you IDIOTS really want to throw away any chance for that in your lifetime all because of some STUPID temper tantrum over John McCain?
This is our country you’re trying to screw up too.
LOL, Love it.
You are inciting with threads like this, just look at the comments that followed. Please, think before you post, because there are many here who cannot, as this thread clearly demonstrates. You give the troglodytes a soapbox when you don’t.
McCain makes Bob Dole look like an attractive candidate. At least Bob Dole could read from a teleprompter without embarrassing himself.
This November is going to be really, really ugly.
Excuse me !! ??
Did you guys actually read my post ?
“I’ll probably be forced to vote for you, given the alternatives, however, just barely and only because you may not totally screw us on judges.”
I’m definitely with those who know we can’t afford to leave the judges to the marxists. My point, though probably too subtle, is “it sucks that we get McInsane as our candidate so I don’t have to like it and I don’t want to hear from him like somehow he gives a rip what I, or any conservative, thinks, but he’s got us by the short ones on judges, etc,etc,etc...”
Sounds like someone didn’t get their Prozac today.
Everytime you insult our candidate you undermine him. You are actively working against us and for Obama and the Democrats with every word you type. I don’t care what you claim your intentions are. I judge you by your actions.

...Since the beginning of the 110th Congress, the Senate has confirmed only 10 circuit court nominees. In the last two years of the past three Administrations, the Senate has confirmed an average of 17 circuit court judges.
I strongly urge the Senate to hold hearings and votes on the 28 pending circuit and district court nominations to ensure that our Nation has a fully functioning judicial system. (snip)

Not voting in that race; I don’t vote for liberals who love Democrats.
The Democrats don’t need a filibuster.
They are the Majority party.
The filibuster is a tool used by the Minority party, which is the GOP.
They’re gonna need it next year if the McCain bashers get their way. A lot.
If the dems don't get a lock on all judicial nominees with a 'cloture-proof' Senate (which is entirely possible as McCain will likely lose big-time),,,
the "Gang of 14" will ensure that Obama gets that LOCK anyway.
Calm down—you’ll live longer.
I won’t be voting for McCain. Take that as a traitorous threat if you wish, that’s your problem and my right to vote as I see fit. For the first time since 1972, the top line on my ballot will be blank.
You just don’t get it, do you?
Obama/McCain—two sides—same coin. Both want amnesty, both want cap and trade.
After that, there is no more America. Capiche?
SCOTUS appointees? After the gang of 14, if you think McCain will go to the mat for a conservative judge, you are dreaming. And the Rats will go nuclear, while the Republicans cry foul and run around like mindless twits flailing their arms.
I don’t like the situation any more than you do.But we are being screwed by our own party. If Obama is such a threat to our country, why are we running the worst possible candidate to oppose him? Even Bob Dole laughs at McCain.
Our only hope is to get as many Republicans elected to the House and Senate as possible to oppose either one of these clowns and limit the damage they’ll cause.
Both these yokels are Soros supported puppets.
You can be a true believer in the McCain myth.
But, just ask yourself—— why a POW would shut down an official POW/MIA Select Committee in order to normalize relations with the country that held him captive for five and a half years? Why would a man turn his back on 600 of his fellow POWs, who probably believed until the day they died that America wouldn’t forget about them.
I’ve had McCain’s number ever since then.
Sorry we disagree—to each his own.
Bill Clinton won twice because the GOP didn’t nominate someone that could beat him.
Like you I may (out of necessity - see below) vote for McCain but I do not have to like it, support him or send him money. Let the non Obama Liberal democrats, moderates (so-called) and RINOs support him. He is their candidate.
( Obama is really worse. He makes even jimmy Carter look good. )

The president is Commander in Chief of the military.
Don’t tell me that Obama and McCain are the same.
At which point the left-wing limp-wrist Rockefeller-Mainstreet fairy climbed atop it to extol the virtues of not having a spine.
The first thing Obama is going to do as president is grab those guns you love so much.
He supported the DC gun ban, McCain opposed it.
Huh? I know that McCain is the the only bulwark between me and praying to allah 5 times a day under the Osbama admin.
4 years of Obama will also see the collapse of democracy in Iraq, and the destruction of Israel and the US economy. There won’t be anything left worth salvaging when Obama and the Democrat Majority are done with it.
Look FRiend, McCain has not been our candidate, is not our candidate, and never will be our candidate. On virtually all issues separating RINOs from Freepers he has been on the wrong side. He has called people like us racists and bigots, and that is when he is feeling kindly towards us.
After all of that there is a fair chance he will get our votes, but we will never like it. His best chance of getting those votes is to stop kicking us, and leave us alone, and fight Obama.
You are hopeless.
Best put some ice on that.
BTW, McCain's been doin' a fine job of screwing up the country with his idiotic policies. Opposing McCain on those issues does not constitute a "STUPID temper tantrum." If Republicans don't try to stop him from reaching across the aisle to implement leftist policies, exactly who do you think will?
No, that would be the Second Amendment.
And the people with the cajones to use it.
McCain has already restrained your rights under the First Amendment under McCain-Feingold.
Every time I tried to 'warm' to McCain--he reaffirms why I will not vote for him. (Against Bush43 comparing the religious right to black extremists, McCain-Feingold, McCain-Kennedy, McCain-Lieberman, no drilling in ANWR, global-warming, amnesty, insulting the broadcaster Cunningham for using the name Hussein, insulting and publicly embarrassing Phil Gramm).
But the last straw was when his campaign sent me an email discussing his support of 'cap and trade'. That totally bogus, ludicrous and absolutely outrageous attempt at bigger, more controlling, more intrusive government was the last straw.
I sure as heck won't vote for Obama, but I sure as heck won't vote for McCain either. (P.S. I'm tired of hearing of how I am in effect voting for Obama--so no one need waste their time with that lame charge).
McCain’s actions can be irritating at times, but Obama’s are downright frightening.
America can survive 4 years of McCain and still be left standing. The same cannot be said of Obama.
BIG Bump to that!
