There's a story from the Ass Press on Yahoo about a Minnesota doofus (named in the article as a college student) who tried to sell his vote on eBay for $10. He might get upto 5 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

I read it. Clearly, dumb-dumb doesn’t get the fact that selling one’s vote is a crime.
