With the blankest of blank expressions on their faces, these mysterious figures have been popping up in the most unlikely of places.
The faceless mutants have a penchant for A-list celebrity bashes and have been spotted at Elton John's White tie ball and Harrods summer sale, opened by Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall.

Probably a very silly guerilla marketing scheme.

The WSJ just had an article on "murketing". It involves getting a buzz going about something without explicitly marketing it.
I suspect that a science fiction movie about faceless aliens is in the works.

Oh wait, are you saying that people who attend Wimbledon have too much time on their hands? Or just people who wear a certain type of mask on their face?

I'm not worried about the faceless aliens. I'm concerned about the two-faced people out there.

Agents of hope for real change?
Any sites where there might be a clearer image of that logo?
Is "attention whores" too broad a description?

The first thing that came to mind was the Renaissance practice of the nobility going about masked to hide their identity. This would just be a more modern version, all the more so since at a distance, they are just another flesh-colored face in the crowd.
Thinking further, I wondered if this might not be people protesting the ridiculous proliferation of security cameras in blighty.
Or even people who prefer than Law Enforcement not be able to recognize them.
Kind of neat, actually. I might try that sometime.

Where are those cream pie throwers when you need them? It looks as if nobody is recognizing them at all.
