Cool - I hope it works out. I have the photo book that was made when it was cleaned and restored 15 or 20 years ago, and I’ve stitched reproductions of some images. Fun pictures!

The Norman Conquest and other great events in British history are becoming increasingly irrelevant. The conquest which is more important, which is going to sweep away all the vestiges of great English culture, is the Muslim conquest going on right now.

I think it should stay in Bayeux.

If the Brits think they should have it then they should return to Greece the Elgin Marbles. Not bloody likely!

I thought the Brits already lost their Marbles.

(I’ll trade them six cat’s eyes!)

The return of historic art treasures to the country of origin is a pot that I wouldn’t expect the British Museum to want to stir.

On a tour of the Athens Acropolis, I think I offended the guide. She was griping about the Elgin Marbles and how the Brits swiped ‘em. I said: “Gee. I wish they had gotten the Venus di Milo before she got her arms knocked off and the Victoire de Samothrace before she lost her arms and head!” She didn’t reply, but she gave me a nasty look.

I like your response. I think I recall reading somewhere that the pollution in Athens was putting all their antiquities at risk. That which had been taken from them was safe from that deterioration.

It really is a mess...can you imagine if all artifacts were ordered by some new international law to be returned to the countries of origin?

It should never leave Bayeux. Too fragile.

Nice hijack attempt, but so far it doesn’t seem to be paying off for you.

I just wanted to call attention to the fact that all the great achievements of European culture, without which our country would never have achieved greatness itself, are in mortal danger from the impending Muslim demographic conquest. This is primarily a political forum, after all.

Quite right too! Putting this tapestry on sight in the UK is fiddling while Londonistan burns.

Our heritage will mean zip if Islam dominates....

A campaign has been launched to bring Christianity, the world’s great faith, back to Britain for the first time in centuries, and put it on display in Canterbury Cathedral.

As a matter of fact, I hadn’t imagined it, but now that I have, yes, I can imagine the Nutcase Left pulling a stunt like that. Nothing is beyond them.

Exactly right...the Elgin Marbles would have been destroyed or looted and sold on the black market had not England got them first...BTW, that wing of the British Museum where the Elgin Marbles are at is beautiful.
