It's only the fourth day of summer (officially), and I could already use a respite from the Texas heat. (so in a couple of weeks I'll be in Mexico!)

Meanwhile, the media continues to give Obama a respite from the truth.

No, I told them I was leaving cause I had a "can't miss" appointment last Friday. Otherwise, I'd have never left.

I thought it might take them two weeks to get ready for the final entire-new-plant startup, but they were quicker than I thought.

Of course, they have some Americans down there running the show now and those Texas boys want to go home, too. I'll leave tomorrow and we'll get this thing making money and all be home for the 4th.

I'm not sure which route we will take. We normally have gone straight south thru San Antonio and then down to McAllen/Mission. However, this year we are staying in Matamoros rather than Mission, so I'm not sure of our route.

Based on Google Maps, it looks like we will probably still go through San Antonio on 35, then onto 37 toward Corpus Cristi, on down to Brownsville.

Things have gradually improved here. I don’t have supermodels or Nobel Laureates throwing themselves at me, but I have a choice of several fairly nice looking women with reasonable intelligence.
