For me it would be Jack and Diane :) I tend to like his John Cougar stuff more than his John Mellencamp stuff.

Instant Karma was not even among Lennon’s top ten.

Besides, how can you have a top ten of J’s without Johnny Cash, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts

“J” is a little bit TOO easy. Try something harder. If you pick “X”, all you’ll get are Xavier Cougat records.

"Christianity will go. It will vanish and shrink. I needn't argue with that; I'm right and I will be proved right. We're more popular than Jesus now; I don't know which will go first - rock and roll or Christianity."
John Lennon

Wow, somebody else knows about Head On. Beat me, too. Probably my fave song by J&MC.
To: Dr. Sivana
Falls under the heading of Great Minds Think Alike. :-)
J = Johnny Rivers. We can add a song or two to the list.

On another note, I’m not agreeing with the alphabetical order that you’re using on these. Walk into any music store and John Lennon is under “L” and Joan Armatrading is under “A.”
And Elton John is not under “E”.

"Christianity will go. It will vanish and shrink. I needn't argue with that; I'm right and I will be proved right. We're more popular than Jesus now; I don't know which will go first - rock and roll or Christianity." But Imagine is such a great, peaceful and happy sounding song...

“Both Sides Now” is not Joni Mitchel - it’s Judy Collins (Hey, but that’s a “J” too)
