I noticed that Wikipedia has announced the death of science fiction writer, Algis Budrys, author of "Rogue Moon" and other works. At the moment, no MSM sources have mentioned this. However, several blogs have.

Never read anything by him. Might see if I can find some of his stuff used.

I picked up a copy of Rogue Moon at a used book store a few years ago. I liked it.

“The Falling Torch” was one of the first paperback books I ever purchased. I liked it and still have it. Honestly, this is the first time I’ve seen his name since.

Thanks. Prayers for his soul and his family.

I can’t believe AJ’s gone. He was such a fixture in the SF community. In addition to his writing, he was also known as an “editor’s editor,” and for his work teaching the art of writing science fiction.
