I’ll pass, saw last seasons misadventures, personally it reminds me too much of what I have to do during our long winters in Alaska, I drive a concrete mixer and its no joy ride driving on icy roads, I swore last winter would be my last, if i save a bit more from the summer season hopefully I can skip driving all winter, or head down to Floriduh.

Can’t wait! Let’s see how many trucks Drew can wreck this season
To: NewLand
Like the guys working the crabbing boat off the coast of Alaska in that other adventure program (forget the name) ice trucking is one of those things I’ll be happy to watch from afar (as in on the tv). No way in HECK I could do that job!
Great show, though. :)

Ice Road Truckers is OK but I’m looking forward to the 3rd season of Survivor Man, which starts in the Fall.

I love Survivor Man. And I prefer the crab fishermen over their rivals, the ice truckers.
To: NewLand
Not a bad show at all. But I miss the days when the History Channel showed stuff about history.

Survivor man is cool. One of this shows took an incident where a young couple with their baby were stranded in the Utah snow. He had exactly the same things they had and using only his knowledge he walked out without any problems. Amazing.
Then there is Man vs. wild, where he does stupid stuff and stays in hotels eating pancaked between camera shoots.

For real-life harrowing adventures, we watch Jon & Kate Plus 8. Two six year-olds and six two year-olds.

Not a bad show at all. But I miss the days when the History Channel showed stuff about history. Exactly. Ever notice that Discovery Channel & National Geographic are doing the same thing too? Producing reality based shows instead of stuff that's relevant to their namesake?

I miss the days when the History Channel showed stuff about history True...but at least this show offers much to learn about a part of the world and a variety of people and businesses that most of us know little about.

Fun show. I'll sum up Season One for you:
Guys get huge money to drive trucks on ice and bitch about it!
Season Two however:
Guys get huge money to bitch about driving trucks on ice.

“Best show on TV.”
LOL You’ve got to be kidding! Hard to think of anything more boring than that tube-turkey! What could be next on the horizon of ‘actual TV?’— maybe a show about the hazards of septic tank cleaning? — or, maybe the daily adventures of highway line painters? LOL Please, stop it while there is time! LOL
To: NewLand
Watching the repeats now. It’s a pretty good show.

What could be next on the horizon of actual TV? maybe a show about the hazards of septic tank cleaning? LOL! There actually IS a popular show about that. It's called: "Dirty Jobs."

...maybe a show about the hazards of septic tank cleaning? or, maybe the daily adventures of highway line painters? FYI, it's already been done. Dirty Jobs on the Discovery channel.

I like them all except for that whiny new guy with the broken down truck who left. What a loser. Felt bad for TJ and the chest injury.

I’ve never driven an 18 wheeler. But it seems I have almost as many trips up the Ice Road as Drew.

I love Alex. What a class act - and a family man and man of faith too. Instead of leaving Rick behind because Rick didn’t read his stuff and didn’t know what the speed limit is, he waited on the goober.

I loved it! My daughter and I call Drew “The Whiner” and know he'll never last the season. But we couldn't believe it when he actually quit before he'd even hauled one load! And then when his wife reminded him he's above the Arctic Circle without a job and asked what he was going to do now, the moron looked like the question had never occurred to him!

Found this show pretty boring last year. I think it’s the lack of interaction, most of the show is fat guys complaining to the camera. What they do was interesting for like 2 shows but after that same crap different load.

Yeah, Drew had me laughing too. I knew he wouldn't last the season (again), but he didn't last one show....
Plus, I've known people like that...never occurs to them the consequences of walking off a job.
