I just login in Free Republic once and posted some information about the earthquake in China. I have never thought I can get reply from American peoples.
Although we are from different nations, and do not know each other, please let me say thanks to you.
Now, all Chinese are do everthing we can do to help our sisters and brothers in the earthquake area. We will do a good job to save lives and rebulid our beautiful country.
The Chinese people are in our prayers. God bless and protect those in harm’s way during the rescue phase of this disaster.
Welcome to Free Republic. I wish you and your people well.
Americans, in general, don’t like to see innocent people suffer, no matter who they are.
I wish your countrymen and women well, and I sincerely hope that your brand of capitalism can lead you to better things, and make your nation a force for good in the world.
As you said, we are from different nations, but some things transcend national boundaries. For example, there are basic points of morality and human rights. A government that restricts rights from any of its people is immoral. I do hope you are able to free yourself from the cowardly and evil regime under which you live.
As much as we complain about the degradation of our republic here in America, I am glad we have not fallen nearly close to being crushed under the system you must endure. The people of China have the prayers and support of millions of Americans who would love to see China free.
In fact, many Americans who believe in freedom for all are refusing to give any support to the repressive Chinese government during the Olympics. Thank you for reminding us of the human side of your country's tragedies--the earthquake and the man-made tyrannical system under which you must live.
Google translation says that means: "Should be grateful, many people concerned about the disaster areas"
Welcome to Free Republic. If you would please write in English, it would be most appreciated.
Thank you for sharing any news about the ongoing emergency rescue operations. If you have been affected directly by the earthquake, or have family and friends who were in the area affected by the earthquake, thank you for taking the time to share your first hand experiences.
Prayers for all those affected by this earthquake. God Bless you.
It looks very lovely in Chinese. (Thank goodness for the Google translator!)
We have been really horrified by the devastation in China, but we have also read of many scenes of bravery and caring. These are times that show us a lot about each other.
Prayers for the suffering people of those provinces.
Hi Ruby — I hope you’re doing well. I also can say that for most of us on FR, we like Chinese people — whether those of Chinese descent outside China or those living in China. Either way, while we may not agree with your government, I don’t see Chinese people as being any different than any others — some are jerks, some are saints, some are smart, some are dumb —> just like every other community in the world.
This is a very political site.
However the earthquake and the many dead, and all those that lost everything they have worked for...is more important.
Everyone wishes you the very best.
Prayers going out for all those in China affected by the terrible earthquake(s) and the continued trauma for the Chinese people from it - them (the aftershocks continue I have read).
I have been praying and hoping for the Chinese people for over 30 years - to be delivered from the evil that is communism and to be enabled to live in true freedom including the freedom to worship God freely.....(and have rejoiced to see the increase in some freedoms as a result of the economic reforms happening there....yet the iron and bloody hand of China’s communist (aka Godless/Atheistic) government still has its grip around the throats of the Chinese people as well as its CONTINUED ARMING AND SUPPORT FOR THE LIKES OF THE INSANE MURDERER MUGABE...AMONG OTHER SUCH SLAUGHTERING TYRANTS AROUND THE WORLD).
All Chinese people - all people everyWhere - have been endowed by their/our Creator God with certain INALIENABLE rigts....as our President often reminds the world - these freedoms are God given, God ordained, and must not be subject to the whims of government.
I pray for God’s continued work among the people of China including among any Chinese communist agents who may be sent to our FREE REPUBLIC and other cyber homes in the US to propagandize.
I pray that what the Chinese communist propaganda masters intend for harm may boomerang and instead bring and increased hunger and thirst for God endowed freedom ...even among the agents they send to sites like ours.
Heartfelt prayers and support go out to the Chinese people suffering from the earthquake. My church (protestant Christian) and no doubt thousands more Christian churches natonwide here and around the world are sending aid for relief for those suffering from the earthquake’s impact.
Our government I am sure has been and will be sending American tax dollars for added aid.
The needs are so massive - the suffering so severe....thank God for ALL who are sincerely working to bring relief of suffering for the Chinese people.
By the way - to any lurking or working Chinese communist agents - you cannot stop God. He will deliver the Chinese people from the oppression of the murderous Chinese government.
Thank you for your translation, I know it should be written in English, but the sentence which is given to RUBYLIU, he(she) should be a Chinese. I am sorry.
Thanks very much for your belssing, all of our Chinese are praying for our brothers and sisters in SICHUAN, and noncountable streets are greatly crowded in many cities because lots of people wanna to get together and contribute some of their money even blood for love heart. I am so moved by them and our friends in different nations who are concerning about the disaster areas.
What I want to say is GOD was, is and will always bless you, thank you again.
Prayers to you and the Chinese people.
You are very welcome and God bless you Brothers and Sisters.
Both at a government and a personal level, we spend billions in helping out grief the world over, for which all too many people take our money with one hand and flip us off with the other. Thank you for renewing my faith in humankind that there are actually people out there whom we help and who are grateful. God bless you.
Ni Hao Xiao Jie - Many people here are sending their hopes and prayers and help to the earthquake victims and their families. Bless you all.
To Rubyliu..I heartily endorse all the messages my fellow Americans have posted here regarding the beautiful people of China. We grieve and pray with you each day as we see and hear the reports of this terrible disaster. When I see the beautiful Chinese daughters in our nation, born in the hearts of their adoptive parents, I know we have an eternal bond with the people of China. Our hope and prayer is for continued healing, hope and friendship between our nations and our people. Please let us know how you are doing.
We pray for the safety and success of everyone who is working to save lives. May the God of all mercy bless you with His love and comfort those who have suffered loss.
I have a special place in my heart for the Chinese people. My sister adopted a little boy with a birth defect, since fixed by several surgeries. He’s an amazing boy, he just has the most wonderful demeanor and sense of humor.
We pray for your freedom in Jesus name. Amen!
Did you know that the Chinese People and this tragic story cover the front pages of our newspapers? Our thoughts and prayers are with the Chinese People.
You are in our prayers.
My company is collecting money for disaster relief for the earthquake victims. This is a terrible tradgedy, our prayers are with you. I have friends in China and fortunately they were not in the earthquake. Thank you for posting on this website.
Praying for your people.
Sorry I’m a newbie and I don’t know how to post photos on this forum:(
Please see it http://www.u148.net/article_1283.html (pictures+English)
I don’t know American a lot but I know many American pray for the people of disaster area. Thank you for all you have done!
“even if we have different opinions about something. “the love of freedom and the value of the individual above the state crosses all boundaries.——
That's the whole problem in a nutshell. If you don't value the individual- and that individual's freedom above all else, you have tyranny. Even if it as simple as one person enslaving another.
Unless that is your cornerstone, all else falls. God gave each person their own unique freedom. No one else may take it away.
America stands for freedom. It stands for the individual no matter how weak or small. If some Americans do not live up to that ideal, it doesn't mean the ideal isn't there, and it doesn't mean the America doesn't stand up for the ideal.
P.S. Your English is just fine. I can't speak Chinese at all, so that makes you a heck of a lot smarter than me from the get go.
I agree for the most part with your comments, but, we DID after all take over the Philippines for 50 years (and put down a very bloody revolt in their South while we were at it.) Yet, our rule must not have been TOO tyrannical: The Filipinos (and Filipinas) fought alongside us* in the Philippines “tooth and nail” in WW2, and, in the end, we did the right thing and gave them their freedom.
*Few know it, but Philippine resistance fighters and a few U.S. personnel who managed to stay free from Japanese patrols were able to deny large parts of the Philippines from Japanese control, by the time MacArthur returned. (MacArthur helped the resistance with submarine runs and air drops of supplies.) Some think the excellent sci-fi story “The Tuvela” was loosely based on this bit of history.
(If you are a FReeper, and an individualist, you should read “The Tuvela”.)
Anyway, got off topic there... It IS nice to see that someone does appreciate our thoughts and prayers. It is also nice to see this discussion not degenerate into the garbage found on some other forums. (Thanks, FReepers & Mods!)
