That goalie goal was unbelievable.
Colgate 7
Notre Dame 8
I went out to the store and missed the Notre Dame come from behind win. Damn.
The Hopkins Hofstra game is on now and it should be great.

That goalie goal was unbelievable.I believe that Marcel Fisher, goalie for the Stony Brook Patriots, scored either 2 or 3 goals in his career while at SUNY @ Stony Brook. (I was 3rd string goalie while they were still DIV III).
It's always cool to watch, because the midis and defenders really don't expect the goalie to shoot on the goal, so they tend to give him a lot of room, since they expect him to dump it off at any moment.

You’re right. That’s what happened.
Hopkins is playing world class lacrosse now and in full command of Hofstra. 6 - 2 at end of third.

Looking at the bracket, I can’t imagine why they put Hopkins and Duke on the same side. That probably will be the best matchup of the tournament.

Maryland started out strong with 3 goals(one on an empty net) but Virginia now is in their groove and just scored another while up two men to tie it 3-3 at the end of the 1st.

Sure was.
What did you think of the call that took the Maryland goal away? Didn't make sense to me. The goal doesn't count because after the shot there was a push by Virginia from behind?

I thought Maryland got robbed. But it happened in the 3rd, so I cannot really say it had an impact - although both teams together scored only 4 goals in the second half.

Sure seems like MD was robbed. Bizarre rule to let that happen.
Navy v Hopkins all depends on what Navy team shows up. Navy has lost to Hopkins the last 34 consecutive matchups- since the early 70's. Hopkins manhandled Navy a few weeks ago. But if Navy shows up at their best, they could win.
I love both teams so the matchup is a pleasure. Go Navy!

Prediction Duke(by a thread)
The Duke/Hopkins game is the Superbowl of the tournament. The level of play will probably be historic.

Virginia goalie outa sight. The rush by that defender, whoever he was, to tie it at two was one of the greatest unassisted goals I have ever seen.

The Duke/Hopkins game is the Superbowl of the tournament. Guess you haven't been watching the Hoos. There's a reason Hopkins was seeded fifth. I think you'll be watching UVa-Duke, Round Three on Monday.

Questionable calls, shots off the post, but no team that blows a five goal lead deserves to win.
