"Whoops!"
Just weeks after claiming she would reshape her faltering radio program to focus on a New York City audience, Whoopi Goldberg has now been cancelled even there.
According to press and trade reports today, Wake Up With Whoopi was yanked from WKTU-FM today without warning, other than a brief note sent to staffers mere hours before the change. Poor ratings were cited by the station.
Recently, after similar results led to terminations in Chicago and Philly, your Radio Equalizer speculated that Whoopis radio days appeared numbered. Now, one can easily expect the syndicated program to be shut down, perhaps in the next few days.

She's too busy doing The View anyway. That's where she gets seen and heard the most (by a LONG shot).

I recall something about them giving her a radio show, saying she’d be more “tolerant” and “humorous” with her callers. But I thought the show fell thru and never made it to air.

She had the face for radio but not the voice. Exactly. I think waking up to the sound of Whoopi's voice in the morning would be like waking up to the sound of someone using sandpaper on your teeth.

Are the rumors that the Whoppster does not bathe regularly and sometimes “passes gas” freely and with no restraint true?
I don’t wanna think about it.

btw I think her real name is Caryn Johnson, for those who
were wondering what parent would even name their kid
Whoopi.

These metro areas where the liberals like whoopie have so miserably failed are in fact, heavily liberal areas themselves, but I don’t see any explanation for those poor ratings forthcoming from the media powers that be.

This is old news; she was yanked from WKTU four weeks ago. The show is still on the air in a few peashooter markets (Good morning Muskegon!)...

I normally try to refrain from commenting on someone’s unfortunate appearance in these threads, but I have to say that I have always found Whoopi Goldberg one of the most repulsive looking women on the face of the earth. How Ted Danson could look at that gargantuan butt and say, “I’ve got to have some of that” is simply beyond me. Saw her once being interviewed sitting on a toilet and thought I would throw up.

Whoopi is not funny. She is a foul mouthed creature, who is tolerated because she is a black/liberal woman.

Exactly. I think waking up to the sound of Whoopi's voice in the morning would be like waking up to the sound of someone using sandpaper on your teeth.Of course, if she were on our side, her voice would be considered as sweet as the voice of Ann Coulter. :-)

Great summation. Reminds me of how the (liberal Manhattanite) film critic Pauline Kael was stunned uopn learning that Nixon got elected in 1972. Her reasoning? “Nobody I know voted for him”.
To: redstates4ever
Her show was canceled because
no one listened.
I only wish NPR and PBS were held to the same standard.
