This is from April.
A couple hundred local soloists get together to do the Messiah every Christmas and they do it for themselves in a small church sanctuary. They don’t tolerate changes to the performance.
And a very Mery Christmas to you and yours as well. Blessings to our troops.
I wouldn’t dare ask them to change.
Sunday Muaic? you may wish to have the mod fix the title.
Wonderful!
Merry Christmas Hawk!
Would you be do kind as to fix my title. Should be “music,” of course.
Merry Christmas, mylife!

Brings bad a lot of memories. Of course it has been quite a while since I was second seap Treble/Soprano. I haven’t been able to hit F above High C in 16 years.
Thank you again - even though this isn’t a Sunday.
Merry Christmas!
I could barely hit High C playing cornet. You should be proud. Merry Christmas!

Hoosier, thank you! Wouldn’t be Christmas without this too! Have a blessed Christmas!!
Merry Christmas, curmudgeon!
Thank you so much. Merry Christmas to you.
Wow- this is such a WONDERFUL surprise!
I grew up in New England- and every fall choirs from all denominations in several villages would start practicing Wednesday evenings...the entire Messiah. It was astounding. At Christmas-time they would perform it for 3-4 nights. Starting when I was about 6 I remember going with my grandmother (my parents sang in the choir) to listen ...goose bumps just remembering it:) Imagine being little and listening to the local fishermen, carpenters, bankers and doctors, waitresses, teachers- some with beautiful voices..singing The Messiah..
I must have lost my CD of The Messiah- spent two days looking for it - then forgot to pick one up at the store.
FR has EVERYTHING!
Thank you so so much for posting this with links- I’m listening now- my Christmas is complete!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
I'd like to remind all that a complete compilation of the First Sunday Music threads and music can be found here. If there are a few postings that you missed, I hope you enjoy.
If you have any preference of composer or artist, please freepmail. I enjoy that.
But most of all, the thread is dedicated to those who serve our country, veterans, families and friends.
God bless them.
HH
Hoosier, it has been a blessing to many. Many thanks for all your work and blessing us with the enjoyment!
