Why would plutocrats want to end the depression?
They had all of the wealth, and you think they wanted impoverished Americans to seize it from them Nazi-style?

Do you know how I know this isn’t real?
Where’s Halliburton? I mean, a facist coupedeville and no Halliburton? Get real.

Actually it was a fascist coop.
The idea was to farm chickens in a very regimented manner.
How else would they produce the “chicken in every pot”?
Henry Ford was behind the other plans that called for a fascist coupe.

For the rest: Godwin has argued, that overuse of Nazi and Hitler comparisons should be avoided, because it robs the valid comparisons of their impact.

A BBC documentary claims Prescott Bush, father and grandfather to the 41st and 43rd US Presidents respectively, was also involved. road apples...

The allegations of a military coup in 1933 mostly derived from the testimony of a Marine general, Smedley Butler, who claimed that representatives of the Du Pont family and the J.P. Morgan interests, approached him with a proposal to have him organize World War I veterans, possibly using the American Legion, and march on Washington. Butler was to be offered a Mussolini-type position while Franklin Roosevelt would be reduced to a figurehead, much like the Italian king was under Italian fascism.
Other than General Butler's testimony, I do not know of any additional evidence supporting the allegations of a coup, and certainly not on involvement by the Heinz family or Prescott Bush. I believe a Congressional committee led by John McCormack, later Speaker of the House, investigated the matter, but did not develop any corroboration.

Internet Rumors
Prescott Bush’s Alleged Nazi “Ties”
Tuesday, December 16, 2003
Rumors about the alleged Nazi “ties” of the late Prescott Bush, the grandfather of President George W. Bush, have circulated widely through the Internet in recent years. These charges are untenable and politically motivated.
Despite some early financial dealings between Prescott Bush and a Nazi industrialist named Fritz Thyssen (who was arrested by the Nazi regime in 1938 and imprisoned during the war), Prescott Bush was neither a Nazi nor a Nazi sympathizer.

Henry Ford was behind the other plans that called for a fascist coupe. Well, we know the 32 Ford was certainly the fastest coupe. The Duece Coop remains a favorite of hotrodders to this very day.
Perhaps it was not the fastest, but rather fascist...
Perhaps it was not the Deuce Coupe, but the Duce Coup...
Ohmygod! It's all true!
