How many Chinese Restaurants in the U.S. are using food imported from China?
Ive been wondering that myself.
Id sure hate to give up the General Tso's Chicken.
I guess its time to get out my wok and start making my own.
What about sushi? My favorite sushi place is owned, run and prepared by Japanese-American folks. All they do is sushi and Japanese dishes. I guess Ill have to ask Mr. Yamato about his sources next time Im there. Hes a very nice man and Im sure he wont mind.
And there are no Mexicans working in his kitchen like Ive seen at some Chinese and Italian carry outs recently.
Same for my favorite Thai place, owned, run and prepared by real Thais. Id also really hate to give up Drunken Noodles.

Buy North Carolina Shrimp, it’s safer and cheaper.

I also read that the Brits are shipping their prawns to China to be cleaned and packaged. It’s cheaper than processing them in the UK:-(

- try sprinkling some feta cheese on that and throwing it under the broiler
